One thing I would personally like to see is a full team squad photo we were denied an opportunity last season to have one with the National league championship trophy for obvious reason but we should have one this season. Been on Exeter & Walsall sites recently and they have a full team photos (but they also do not have new arrivals pictures yet like us) . As regards other things I think we do need a little perspective on things. For example Walsall have apologised for a number of things going wrong last weekend which created in their words " a poor matchday experience" which included long queues at the turnstiles because the scanners were not working. One other issue that appears to be plaguing a number of club is lack of matchday officials. I could probably put that down to Covid "pings" (which hopefully will now see an improvement here) and the poor pay these people receive in return for a significant amount of abuse at times.

Of course we need to get things sorted be we are certainly not the only ones with issues.

I think the full team photo is just a timing issue. Picture needs to be taken during the day at the home ground. Our fixtures and pre-season schedule meant that prior to the Hartlepool game was the first opportunity to do this.

Lots of the sponsor photos seen in the last few days were done in the same session.

Unfortunately we didn't get the team pics done Friday as half the squad got caught up in the M6 traffic after an accident. The sponsors were there to be included in the images, so we took advantage of the day and did individual ones for the time being. It will ve rescheduled in the near future

Nice picture of those empty benches, Ian. But are they really empty? Maybe we're just a team made up of players following in the tradition of John White and Martin Peters? (Only the very old can be expected to understand that . . . )

Why dont fans volunteer to help? Especially those perhaps just retired or part time workers. There must be decent skillset amongst the fanbase including IT skills, finance, sales and marketing etc... could the Trust not do a survey of members and skills and qualifications of those who would be willing to help the club on a part time voluntary basis and offer those people as a database. Isnt that what part fan ownership is all about? Its just a variation on the pre season volunteer painting parties isnt it? I think some people need to ask themselves what they can do to help their club.

Saw them both at Old Trafford. I'm not very old I'm mature thank you very much. I even understand how to pay by card believe it or not for a person of my advanced years unlike everybody else according to some on here!

Well done, WG, you got it right; they were both nicknamed "The Ghost" because of their ability to arrive unnoticed in the danger area. But why you would say you are 102 is beyond me - - - I reckon you'll be a "mature" 85 (to use Andy G's preferred term), just the same as me, give or take a few months.

You are also right in saying that John White was killed by lightning on a golf course, at the age of just 27, only two or three years after playing a big part in the Spurs double-winning side of the early 60's. As regards Martin Peters, there's no real need to add anything except to remember the way he ghosted into place to put England 2-1 ahead against West Germany in the 1966 World Cup - - - if England had held on for just one more minute he would have been Sir Martin as the man who won it, and Geoff Hurst would have only had the bit-part in our memories.

John White had a couple of brothers who played, one of them being Tom White (namesake of our own). Furthermore, our very own Tom White bears a passing resemblance to the tragic John White. We have to hope he never swings a seven-iron under leaden skies.

Cos we’re a football league club now……employ more people simple as this. You think Leyton Orient, Walsall, Port Vale are run by volunteers ffs?

Probably because the club doesn't want 'amateurs' cluttering up the admin side of the business, especially when 'professionals' have been employed to carry out those tasks.

The pre-season volunteering painting party you refer to is an all year round volunteering group who carry out various other renovations needed to upgrade the ground. Electricians who must have almost rewired the ground. However the trade we always struggle to find a willing pair of hands is plumbing.
