Cooper likes to play football with a energy, whether he goes the same way tonight, who knows. I'd like to see us have a go from the off. Holker St is only a small ground, but can get raucous if the home crowd get ignited. Weather looks set fair, so should be a cracking night. Been too long since the old girl has been packed.
If the home fans get raucous before kickoff and create an intimidating atmosphere it could turn out to be a brilliant night. Even though I am a Villa fan, I really hope Barrow start on the front foot and make it look like they don't care they are playing Premier League opposition. These sort of games can bring back the feeling of what football is all about
Any chance Ashley young might be playing? Heard Tuanzabe has an injury. As a Man United ST and Barrow fan that wouldn't surprise me!! However, love to see Ashley play thought he's been great for all the teams he's played for. A totally committed professional. Just about to get on the road to Barrow now hope the M6 & A500 are kind to me!!!

Absolutely - but have a sneaky feeling Cooper will adopt a more reserved approach, but we'll see :-)

Wonder what the Barrow team will be? Although we tend to play 3-5-2 maybe a more reserved approach as you say Big E 4-5-1 perhaps? Not convinced Ellis can cope with Villa forwards lines speed so needs protection too many of our goals conceded this season have occurred through open play rather than set pieces.

can't be any worse than Dixon at saving them - apart from that one away at Aldershot i can't remember him saving many.

Stick to what you know for me; Hutton and Brough at wing backs are two of our biggest strengths. Think big Festus will come back into the back 3 to provide some more legs to help out Ellis

If you get on the A500 turn around: you're going in the wrong direction. :D

Ask Ian Evatt what he thinks of Joel's penalty saving skills

Pointless cup used for under 23s.
A bit advanced on their cup game v Liverpool.
Basically watching seas team mates about same standard but not released yet in hope until their contracts expire.
Bring your phones you will be googling the first 11.
Why hasn't this cup been disbanded yet?
I hope Cooper makes 8 changes bigger game Saturday.

There are no doubt a number of envious people on the Furness peninsula and you sound like one of them.
It must be really eating you up inside that Barrow are basking in the glory of playing a great name from the Premiership while I reckon there are around 95% of people that will be happy for Barrow Soccer at the prospect of playing Aston Villa no matter what strength of team Villa play on the night.

Safe journey to all you Villa fans making the long journey into Lancashire ;)

Being used to the illustrious surroundings of Villa Park you might be in for a bit of a shock when you walk into our humble little ground. However, don't allow the archaic structure provide you with false hope. Known as 'The Shrine of Football' in lower league circles, Holker Street has witnessed a couple of Giant Killing acts in the past, notably Crystal Palace and Brentford. Maybe another, tonight? :D
