Barrow v Aston Villa

[Bigfathoss]

Just saw a coachload of Villa fans making a U-turn at the junction of Mill Lane and West Shore Road. Christ only knows where they thought they were. They hadn't come from the shore end...

Can't trust that SatNav. It'll direct you into the dock if you're not careful.

Brian keen and Paul Casson at the game tonight, hope it’s announced on the tanoy and they get a good round of applause.

How did THEY get tickets?

Just about to get on the road to Barrow now hope the M6 & A500 are kind to me!!!

If you get on the A500 turn around: you're going in the wrong direction.

Whoops just seen this. Wish I'd been on the A500 at times last night going in the opposite direction. Was praying for the final whistle 20 mins from time! However, glad I went and see to Holker St full (or nearly full I did spy some empty seats in the main stand) was wonderful.

Even at its worst on Tuesday I wouldn't have wanted to be in Stoke!

Kortney Hause was overjoyed to finally get Offrande Zanzala’s shirt after spending most of the game trying to pull it off his back!

Villa have given us their 45% of the gate receipts. That’s a proper football club

Round of applause to Villa. Great gesture to help the smaller clubs and in this case ours.

[McMark]

Spot on from Villa, hopefully invested in the infrastructure of the club!
Put some of it towards a proper food hut at the away end and call it The Food Villa with a plaque to commemorate the game….

Great set of fans and now a considerate club. Well done, Villa.

After watching there first class performance from mostly youths, and the way the club and fans mingled round town before game
And now they donate the match fee ?
What a fabulous club they are
Thank you to Aston Villa and hope you have a great season

[sambino]

Absolutely spot on

Well done Villa. Great club with genuine great fans-it was a pleasure to be amongst them in the pubs before the match.
Good on ya.

Bet this won't be all over the media as they only like to report on the ugly side of football.
Thank goodness we drew Villa out of the hat. Our lucky day.
Their fans are a credit to their club and when they sang "We'll Meet Again" to us they will be welcomed back with open arms.
I hope their season goes well and thank you.
