I heard 2,416 announced but apparently 2,116.

A rousing ovation at the final whistle which was fully deserved. Happy with a point in the circumstances.
Re: Barrow AFC v Bristol Rovers FC (match thread)
Our results so far this season, taken in the context of how our opponents have fared overall at this early stage, suggest we are doing fairly well, particularly given our ongoing injury situation.

It would break the swear filter to properly describe that ref today….and for both teams tbh. The Bristol Rovers were singing how shite he was not long before they ended up playing against ten men.
Second half we were absolutely superb; the lads really do stick an unbelievable amount of workrate/effort in for Cooper; we’d have definitely lost that game at this time last year. Take your pick from Farman, Banks (yet again, what an improvement from last season) and Gordon for MOM but the whole team was outstanding, a much deserved huge roar and applause after the final whistle. If we can finally nail who plays that position behind the strikers (Kay was poor before he had to be sacrificed if we are being honest) and bring another goalscorer in we really could be looking upwards at mid table

Context of the game youd take a point. Rovers came to battle and be niggly and it probably paid off for them.
Referee and linesman absolutely abysmal, did his best to kill off any rhythm and missed numerous fouls.

After any match it always seems like a cheap shot to go on about how really terrible the referee was.
The referee was really terrible.
Leaving aside the sending off (where I didn't fully see all that went on) there were far too many wrong and pedantic intrusions from the man in the middle. And on top of that I assume this fussy little official paid a visit to the EFL Referees Accessories Shop in the close season and asked over the counter for a whistle with an extra-shrill "fweet" so that he could be noticed as the centre of the entertainment. By half-time my ear-drums were fully fweeted out.
As for the match, I obviously wanted three points at the outset but in the circumstances getting one was something to be proud of. Great credit to our team for keeping a solid structure in the second half. Just how shocking a side are Bristol Rovers though when they only really applied sustained pressure to our ten men in stoppage time? Overall, we were much the better team in the second half.

From the game time he's had, Kay has been poor all season. People been saying he's being played out of position but for me he's not good enough.

1st time in my life I’ve seen the free kick taker booked for kicking it against the offender who isn’t backing off 10 yards, it’s usually the lad who the ball hits for not backing away WTFMisterPleasant wrote: ↑Sat Aug 28, 2021 3:45 pm Banks yellow for trying to play a quick free kick while a Rovers player gets nothing for preventing the kick from being taken.

For the record, the Rugby attendance was 1486, 0 away supporters from London.
Raiders likely took several 100 from the Bluebirds.
The queues for the cash gate was twice as long (including myself) as the pre-paid gate. Hmmm...

This all day & we need to complain until something changes.Methuselah wrote: ↑Sat Aug 28, 2021 6:08 pm Fantastic battling performance today by the Bluebirds.Felt like we were playing against 12 men today.
The referee and the linesman were abysmal and I think the club should make an official complaint to the FA regarding the ref's decisions accompanied with video evidence. These people are fully salaried today so they should know the rules of the game.

Pretty sure I heard MC mention new signings on Monday? If that is the case let's hope they are fit enough to enter the first team squad immediately. Did he also say Ellis was going to Boston? Radio fades in and out where I live.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...
