Re: Music
And who are you assuming the many are? Those who prefer to go to a game, meet with like minded people and have a conversation with them without having to lip read or shout at the top of their voices I hope

Re: Music
Well you are the one who thinks you are speaking on behalf of many.
I have stated my opinion which you seem to object to.

I speak for some of those without voices Elaine who expressed their valued opinion just as you have. Sleep wellHolkerbird wrote: βSun Aug 29, 2021 12:02 amWell you are the one who thinks you are speaking on behalf of many.

Re: Music
Not all disabilities are obvious, as they say. Some people suffer from 'hyperacusis', which is distress/discomfort caused by loud noise. They have a lower noise discomfort threshold than others. While one would not expect everyone to go around whispering, there must be a happy medium that allows the majority to enjoy music, etc, while not causing discomfort to the minority who can't tolerate very loud noise. Many older people suffer from tinnitus and loud noise makes it worse.
I noticed it at Hartlepool a couple of years ago, when I had to leave the away supporters' area before the game because the sound levels were so high. I sent the club an e mail and the Chief Exec, to his credit, replied to apologise and said they were reviewing the PA system and sound levels.
