Personally don’t support taking the knee. Has nothing to do with football, football is not racist, certain individuals in society may be racist, but football isn’t.

Re: Not In My Town Not In My Club.
It's a matter of opinion.
A racist does not have to be white .
It's a forum but maybe you do not respect anyone's opinion but your own

But you disagree with taking the knee and label those who do it Marxists whatever you think that means. Is it not possible they are simply trying to make a statement to protest against racism?Cromwell58 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 8:16 amagree but in this new world if you disagree these cretins label you.
Why does it make people angry? Do you really think the answer to that is because people are really annoyed by Patrick Broughs Marxists political views?

no problem with people supporting the knee but you should have right to be not part of it, it has not changed anything and is a meaningless gesture, education is the way forward ,Steeley wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 8:26 amBut you disagree with taking the knee and label those who do it Marxists whatever you think that means. No one is saying your racist-got that ?-good.liverpoolann wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 10:21 pm No problem with the knee but I have seen sometimes the raised arm and clenched fist which cos I am old always reminds me and other associates of the days of Malcolm x and black power movement.Have seen it only on TV games so far.Would not
Like to see it at Holker .If people think I am racist fit that tough I shall stil sleep at night.
Two simple words—Black Power—fostered a movement of radical anti-racism across the world.
Just like you, a lot of us that are old enough and, anti racist, are very familiar with its roots in the black liberation movement in the US, following on from the Civil Rights Movement and the Black Panthers.
There was a great deal of unity that had developed between black and white after the Civil War. United States rulers instituted Jim Crow, a system of legal segregation that rigidly divided every aspect of life. Legal racism was backed up by the paramilitary terror of the Ku Klux Klan.
Whites were encouraged to think of themselves as superior despite the poverty most lived in and just as in the UK today, many workers fell into the trap.
The knee and the fist are a powerful anti racist symbol of the racism from history whether it be from the deep south of the US or, the murder of Stephen Lawrence and the cover up of the racist Metropolitan police. As the saying goes, if you want to take a look into the future-just take a look into the past.
Keep taking the knee.
Grind the racists into the ground.

Pages of debate yet this post (from start) presents a clear fact.GazzaT wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 11:16 pm Well, I can tell u my son was stood nearer the back of the Holker Street end and although he couldn't see who was responsible, he was disgusted and was very clear in telling me that the 'N' word was used by someone stood directly behind the goal nearer the front. I'm sick of hearing this, no one but the player being abused heard anything so maybe he was mistaken crap. This shite still exists despite everything that the authorities try to do because unfortunately there are still racists in every, city, town, village and hamlet in this country. [SwearFilter] scum of the earth.

And you do have the right to not be part of it - nobody's asking you to take the knee, are they?
It has changed something - it's created a division between racists and everyone else. Job done.

Where does it mention taking the knee?Cromwell58 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 1:49 pm Marxism is a social, political, and economic philosophy named after Karl Marx. It examines the effect of capitalismon labor, productivity, and economic development and argues for a worker revolution to overturn capitalism in favor of communism. Marxism posits that the struggle between social classes—specifically between the bourgeoisie, or capitalists, and the proletariat, or workers—defines economic relations in a capitalist economy and will inevitably lead to revolutionary communism.
Clever chap was Karl, start with taking the knee, next thing, stringing up the royal family.
La lucha continua...
