Wheelchair viewing area

One thing i noticed last night and its not the first time was the amount of thick and disrespectful people that couldn't care less about standing on the yellow paint with "keep clear" written on it so the people in the wheelchair viewing area can see the game. Several times the stewards went over to ask them to move and at 1 point in second half it took ages because people had stood in the flood light enclosure and were refusing to move. A couple of times a bloke in the area had to ask if people would move out of the way but a few people mpved for 5 min then came back again.
Second half and there must have been 100 if not more people who walked round from Holker end even though the club ask not to move (obviously very difficult to control that) but there was a large group of chavs swearing and hitting the disability box and refusing to move when a very senior steward asked them to move several times .
Obviously you get idiots at any game but its disappointing to see....

They should have been asked once,then thrown out ,our stewards seem too soft sometimes, ( but in a way I don't blame them) our club should clamp down on these thugs and bring the police in we're supposed to be a family club, words are cheap let's start acting like one !

Perhaps it needs some sort of barrier to stop people being able to stand in front of the disabled area.
I am.sure the maintenance guys could come up with something. What is wrong with these people!!!!
A total disregard of our own fans is abhorrent and needs to be stopped asap.

The stewards are useless and have been for years. Allowing drinking, smoking, racist abuse and more. Too scared to get involved. We need to hire a security firm.

If you witnessed how the last security company dealt with a situation in the X Bar two years ago I don’t think you’d be asking for them to come back.

Seen someone on Twitter post about this, surely the disabled are needs some kind of surround to stop people standing in front? Basics surely.
Where abouts is it now? Used to be by the west terrace didn’t it and it wasn’t possible to stand in front of it.

Also the whether able to or not what kind of people stand in front of the disabled area with people in wheelchairs?! Agree with above should’ve been asked to move once then ejected.

I'm not being facetious here but if you put something around the area to stop people standing there won't that then obscure the view? Ridiculous that it even has to be considered when common courtesy and consideration for others would solve the problem. But there's a disabled working group, isn't there?, so maybe something for it to consider.

Not if you install some water cannons for those with disabilities to use on offenders who block their view

Having watched the match back on ifollow the fans standing in front of the Wheelchair viewing area by the fanzone were bang out of order and the Stewarts should have taken action, if people took it into there own hands to move them something might happen have some respect.

I spoke to one of our fans today who uses the disabled shelter and he said the problem is not people standing directly in front of them but to the side of the shelter presumably at the wall thus blocking their view of anything other than what is in front of them.
Such a shame when they make an effort to get to the game to have their view blocked in that way.

If you look on the GMV topic you’ll see a few temporary solutions we did today. Definitely not ideal but the best that could be done for the time being.

I know you shouldn't have to etc but is the disabled shelter in tbe popside corner sat on the crossbar end infront of tbe fanzone wall?
As it looked like a cluster of fans gathered there so they would be able to rush into the fanzone/crossbar for a HT pint, & it looked like it could be placed several feet further in & avoid the booze crew?

People need to realise how lucky they are to be able to move around and think about the disabled.
I was surprised as country in general that disabled people are left with a take it or leave it attitude.
The football seem to have made a effort its probably mandatory but in all honesty people need to think not only about themselves but others.
I tried to arrange to plan a trip around London with a person who is disabled and in a wheelchair .
The tube is out of bounds and buses packed.
People need to think abit about other people in general.

The complaint I heard about was the one where the original disabled shelter was on the west terrace probably because it is a side viewing one whereas the other one is facing down the pitch.
