Re: Fleetwood home
10k is naff all. We’re not a conference north team anymore paying £250 a week. 10k wouldn’t cover zanzala & Gordon’s wages for a month. Shambles of a cup don’t risk any key players.

Re: Fleetwood home
Not sure if people are serious suggesting that we should not try and win and get 10k…

Re: Fleetwood home
We'd get a lot more than £10k on the increased attendance alone if it was a proper competition.

Re: Fleetwood home
If this shite is ignored there is a chance they might reinstate a proper competition. As it stands, we probably make a loss on a pointless game that nobody cares about and just increases the chances of picking up injuries ahead of games that mean something. Not too difficult, is it?

How on earth would we make a loss? The players are being paid regardless.Moribund wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 8:45 amIf this shite is ignored there is a chance they might reinstate a proper competition. Would love to know what competition would be acceptable to you. This competition has been going for years. Presume you wouldn’t bother if we got to the final at Wembley.
Sure rest some players give some a run out but genuinely baffled that folk by the sounds would happily forfeit the game and would Chuck 10k in the bin. No clubs ever that far from financial trouble we should bank every penny we can get our hands on.

The competition is there and there’s no way of getting out of it so I agree with you, 10k isn’t a figure to turn our nose up at. I’m sure the owners will be hoping that pot is in the bank tomorrow morning.Steeley wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 8:55 amHow on earth would we make a loss? Regarding injuries, it’s not great to pick up an injury to any player, especially, & obviously a key player but it can happen - it’s part and parcel of football.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Re: Fleetwood home
Why do people moan about this competition.Every match counts. It also gives a chance for the players who don,t normally play to be given a chance and maybe break into the first team.If we win it is more money for the club.It also gives more opportunity for people to see the Bluebirds play at Holker St and grow the fan base.Just look at how many kids are wearing Barrow tops instead of Premier League tops. You wouldn,t have seen that a few years ago.The club has made massive strides unheard of a few years ago.
