Aye that’s why Lee Turnbull was at the game yesterday, ready made replacement.
You could put milk bottle tops on odds with some bookies and prices would tumble!

Re: Cooper’s rumour
Just looking at the Newport County forum - just one reference to MC in three pages and even that says that he is unlikely to move from Barrow. They have lots of others they are talking about. Mark Cooper is doing a brilliant job with us, has a great squad and spirit, so I would hope the issues we have had off the pitch won’t be a significant factor.

Re: Cooper’s rumour
One of the reasons Flynn left Newport was because he wasn’t happy with the training facilities this season….

Re: Cooper’s rumour
I don't think Cooper would want another club that has training facility problems. Hopefully ours are now sorted.
Re: Cooper’s rumour
Whilst at FGR Cooper castigated Newport over the state of their pitch and continuing postponement of matches. He wanted them fined and/or forfeiting matches/deducted points.Hardly the way to endear yourself to possible future employers.I presume we will go through all this again when Bristol Rovers finally give Barton the elbow.Funny how it never happened with our many failed managers - apart from Kidd.
Re: Cooper’s rumour
I thought Newport had confirmed a caretaker manager until the end of the season?

Re: Cooper’s rumour
Doesn't look like it. The assistant is in charge for now. Newport fans barely give Cooper a mention. James Rowberry seems to be the favoured option for them.
Don't let the old man in.

Re: Cooper’s rumour
There are in fact quite a few very reasonable regionally based candidates for that job, none of whom would probably require a contract buyout. Hatswell is also well thought of and liked at the club and would in all probability be the favorite for the job were it not likely that he'll end up following Mike Flynn wherever he ends up.MisterPleasant wrote: ↑Mon Oct 04, 2021 7:08 pmDoesn't look like it. Re: Cooper’s rumour
MC looked like a very happy man on Saturday, the only place he is going is league 1 with BAFC.

Re: Cooper’s rumour
Re Mark Cooper. Does anybody know where he currently has his home because that is always a consideration for lower league players and managers when jobs become vacant.
