FT 1 - 1
Both teams went for it in second half, a very entertaining game. We are the equal of the better teams in the league.

MoM = Gotts but I agree with Goody, Josh Gordon for me.

Tense game, did enough to win it but could so easily have lost it. I think they gave Robbie Gotts Man of the match but I was impressed with Hutton, especially going forward, and also Farman, who made at least 2 brilliant saves. Still looking good.

* Draw fair result is the consensus.

* Both sides missed several clear cut scoring chances.

* Both goalies make excellent saves.

* Wrong tactics to float high-balls into their defence. Mr Big v Mr Small.

* Good crowd considering fans like me stayed home to watch.

Sounded good. Cooper has them well drilled and motivated. He will be favourite for Carlisle job next :)

Josh Gordon for me as well. The lad never stops running, never gives up and made some timely tackles/interventions. Ran from half way in our half to deep inside their half to challenge for the ball.
Well played Josh.

The attendance always takes a battering so I for one would like to celebrate the fact that we had over 3000 locals there today. Brilliant.

As for the game it turned out much as I expected. Don’t let anybody tell you that this was not a point earned rather than two dropped. MC has so few options to rotate the squad. If we got even 3 or 4 of our injured back I think we’d be rather good.

A very solid team performance to earn an excellent battling point in an evenly-matched encounter, with excellent attendance of 3,374 including 265 visiting fans.

In the 18th minute, after two earlier well-defended Barrow corners, an Archibald corner kick gave Pratley a shot on goal which was well blocked by Barrow.

Seven minutes later, a Gotts corner gave Jones a shot which was blocked on the line by Orient.

In the 33rd minute, Ellis was held and Gordon just failed to get the poke over the line from Grayson’s 20 yard free kick.

In the 44th minute, a minute after Gordon had been denied a strong penalty shout, shots in quick succession at the other end from Archibald and Smith were blocked.

A minute later, Farman pulled off a great save from Archibald to keep the half-time score goalless.

Less than three minutes into the second half, Barrow broke the deadlock when Hutton assisted man-of-the-match Gotts to blast the ball into the left corner.

In the 56th minute, Orient nearly levelled when Archibald just failed to connect a diving header with a cross from Sotiriou who had only just come on for Drinan. A minute later, Farman made a great save from Sotiriou himself.

Ten minutes later, a ball from Gotts gave Brough a shot across goal which hit the crossbar.

However, another two minutes on, Orient equalised from a well-taken corner stabbed in from close range by Beckles.

In the 77th minute, Kay came on for White who had been injured defending the goal and five minutes later Williams replaced Zanzala.

There were last ditch chances. A Gotts corner resulted in a close range shot wide of the post in the 89th minute whereas a minute later, at the other end, a close-range Archibald effort was blocked. In the 3rd minute of added time, Kay placed the ball wide from a Gordon cross.

The 1-1 draw was a fair result and both sets of fans enjoyed an entertaining game.

Thought Ellis was superb in a real battle against Smith and deserved mom. The whole team worked very hard but really missed Olly Banks's composure.

We are seeing the best football at Holker Street for many years. Competing on an even footing with some quite big names. Cooper is working wonders, and the players are giving everything.

Good game and fair result. Defence played well against a really tall team thought ref missed a few fouls on our players
