Re: Carlisle (A)
Thats disappointing to hear. Best of luck to anyone going on the train then. Those who choose to go to Lancaster and change there will encounter many going to Manchester Christmas markets and anyone going up the coast its a bloody long way. Just think if it had been a 3:00 ko it would have been much easier as fans could have got later trains to Lancaster thus missing the xmas shoppers and the trains would not be as busy in these covid times. Brilliant (not) from Cumbria Police in changing the KO timegazzawils wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 4:05 pmIt's definitely not happening they can't fit it onto the network so normal trains onlySea Dog Sam wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 4:13 pm What's happened to this train Cumbria Police were going to run to the game?

Re: Carlisle (A)
Looking forward to this and the Friday night. We normally stay in Carlisle for the weekend when Ayr play QOS so it will be brilliant to roll out of bed and have a hungover walk to the ground instead of a 40 minute train journey to Dumfries! First Barrow away game for me, followed by Sutton on the 27th to bag the ground.

Not as long as going via Lancaster, surely? And it's far more scenic.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 4:18 pm Best of luck to anyone going on the train then. Re: Carlisle (A)
The coastal route to Carlisle is a long old slog. Far better via Lancaster - you have to make sure your ticket is valid for the mainline though. Break it into 2 - Barrow- Lanc, Lanc- Carlisle.

Re: Carlisle (A)
For anyone buying train tickets the cheaper standard return to Carlisle is valid on Northern services only. Worth checking the small print on your ticket before you set off.
Standard return is £18.20
Via Lancaster return is £55.80
With no discounts or splitting done

Re: Carlisle (A)
If you want to go anywhere in the network via either spot on the day get a Cumbria Round Robin. For some reason Lancaster counts
Re: Carlisle (A)
Try again- forgot it was a 1 o’clock K.O…
Couple of options on off-peak rtn going via Lancaster

Re: Carlisle (A)
Is there a problem booking the Carlisle bus as it is not letting me do it online?
Re: Carlisle (A)
