For anyone who has access to participating newspapers Northern have a newspaper offer on just £10 to travel on Northern trains for a full day. Travel between November 1st until November 30th. Travelling is on Northern trains only so it would be a cumbrian coast trip there and back to Carlisle.

Best of luck to anyone going on the train then. Those who choose to go to Lancaster and change there will encounter many going to Manchester Christmas markets and anyone going up the coast its a bloody long way.

Not as long as going via Lancaster, surely? And it's far more scenic.

I love that route - stress free not having to jump from one train to another

Just stick headphones on put a decent podcast on and on you go - most the time the difference is about 15mins when I’ve been going up there and the cost difference is a hell of a lot cheaper

Announced this morning we have sold 900, so will be over that now. Also barrow police said they have a meeting tomorrow about where to advise us away fans go pre match for a few pints
