Banbury United Goalkeeper Jack Harding injured in Tuesday`s 3-2 win over Leiston. He was diagnosed with a dislocated left elbow and the staff were able to realign this. Jack`s left arm was put in a cast which he will have on for a couple of weeks to allow the tendons to heal. Once removed he will need physio for a period before being able to return to play. Just watched the highlights of their 3-2 win and looked like the keeper took a sore one and his replacement didn’t look too clever either. Still a potential banana skin, no doubt. They’ll be well up for it.

Oliver Cromwell planned the 1642 Battle of Edgehill in the back room of the Reindeer Inn on Parson's Street.
Now known as Ye Olde Reine Deer Inn it still boasts the old wood-panelled back room. Check it out!

Bear in mind, if traveling by coach, that the coaches won't be stopping in Banbury for a drink. They now tend to stop on the outskirts of the towns and cities we visit and then ferry fans to the stadium shortly before kick off.

Just noticed the picture on the official web site ticket information for Banbury. H&S issue there with some hooligan standing on the railings, presumably so he can reach to bang on the metal roof. He would certainly crack his head if he fell backwards

Does it worry you that they’re unbeaten? They’re 3 leagues below us. They’ll be up for it no matter their results but being a professional full time league team we will be too much to handle

There is only one reason that ITV have chosen the game for TV coverage and that is that they want to see a football league side fall on their sword against a plucky non league side

Play to our strengths and take the game as serious as we take any league game then yes we should have enough about us

Play like we did in the first half v Scunthorpe and take even the slightest eye off the ball and we could find ourselves on the end of an upset

Puritan fan here - re pubs.

Reindeer is an excellent historic pub. 50 yards up the road is the White Horse. Real Ale, Old fashioned pub grub, and probably a handful of Puritans getting grub and ale in before the game.

Many other decent pubs. Coach and Horses, The Wine Vaults, The Swan and the obligatory Weatherspoons.
