Shows how far we’ve come I guess, Ipswich away would’ve been seen as a great draw only a couple of years ago.

Not the best draw, but given that Harrogate and Portsmouth were still in the last few with us it could have been worse. As we know Oldham are beatable and despite the fact they have improved recently and will have main man Bamboullah back (missed our game on international duty) it is also a fact that we are stronger since then with the Leeds lads and the return of the likes of Platty. There would also be the added bonus of a much bigger following. As for Ipswich we would be the underdogs and they would have much more to lose. Plus the fact that if Oldham can get a draw there we surely can improve on that.

It still would be in my eyes. Of course it would of been nice to get one of the lesser teams at home but equally I think we perform better when truly tested. A job to do whoever wins and I am sure with the prospect of a really big fish in the next round we will be focussed.

Thought the Oldham game was further back than that but they were just finding their feet then and have since become an integral part of the team.

Apparently Ipswich put out a poorer side against Oldham and rested a few regulars and the consensus was they would rest more in the replay and they wouldn’t be surprised if they went out,Oldham away is winnable as we already beaten them this year but Ipswich away is not a disaster as they average nearly 20000 which is more than a lot of championship teams get so financially it would be good for us

Ipswich had just shy of 9,000 against Oldham so, if they win the replay, at least a few quid to be gained which was not the case with some of the other "bigger" clubs in round 1 who, in some cases, had crowds of less than a third of their average league game gate.

Deffo up for it!
Can't see many wanting Oldham instead of Ipswich

Exactly.

It’s not a totally bad draw (it might be if you wanted to attend) but an away draw at Harrogate, Port Vale or Walsall etc would’ve been far worse.
Oldham, if they get through are beatable, and Ipswich could be chosen as a TV game, if not a third of their gate would still be a bonus to the club.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Yeah, I think it will be a tv main game.

Plenty want Oldham- it’s closer and we know more about them being in the same league. If it is Ipswich I’m sure we would still take a few from Barrow and bolstered by the exiles. Kudos to the travelling Bluebirds.

There's not a chance that a L1 side at home to a L2 side will be selected for tv

Be shocked if it was

Buxton v Morecambe and Alty/Gateshead v Charlton will be on definitely. If it happens probably Colchester v Wigan as well, and then they’ll probably show Salford again

As for which games will be selected for TV, the most "romantic" tie is Boreham Wood V St Albans as you could walk from one ground to the other.

Yeah, but it's Boreham Wood.
