Re: FA Cup R2 Draw
Barrow will make the trip to Ipswich Town in the Second Round of the FA Cup after The Tractor Boys saw off Oldham Athletic in their First Round replay on Tuesday evening.
Goals from Conor Chaplin and Idris El Mizouni helped Paul Cook’s men come from behind to run out 2-1 winners at Boundary Park and secure their place in the next stage of the competition.
The Bluebirds’ trip to Portman Road, which is pencilled in for Saturday 4th December (3pm kick-off), will represent the first time the two clubs have met in competitive action.

Re: FA Cup R2 Draw
The average attendance at Ipswich Town’s Portman Road Stadium for the 2021/22 League One season so far currently stands at 19,571, the 3rd best in league 1 so Barrow should get a good pay day.

Fantastic. For all the wrong reasons I know. But what the hell. Portman Road is a great stadium and I kid you not Ipswich are flaky as hell when it comes to cups. Locals are pretty amenable unless you are from Norwich. Should be a great day

Re: FA Cup R2 Draw
ID expect the to be slightly better for R2. EFL games charge between £25 and £30. So even at £20 a pop a 10000 gate would constitute a fair amount of revenue for the club..

Re: FA Cup R2 Draw
Slightly off course though you can get from BiF to London (with a Railcard) for £79.05 on Avanti and probably less via TicketySplit. Get into the smoke for 11am and then nip to Liverpool Street on the tube, a single to/from Ipswich is currently £6.60 or £10.55 First Class on Greater Anglia. It is only an hour or so journey to Ippo and the same back. Last train out of Euston is at 19.30 thus back in Barrow at 11.30pm.
Railcards are so worth it if you are eligible, I suspect that Sea Dog Sam is!
