I think it's a great move and to be congratulated.
I for 1 is happy to save a penny or a pound anywhere it is an expensive hobby following Barrow afc home and away, with travel and sometimes hotel costs also so a reduction in entry price at ipswich is very welcomed

Looks like we will have to provide evidence of being double jabbed and those that are not evidence of a clear lateral flow test within 48hrs before the gates open 13:30 for ALL those aged over eleven and photo identification looking back at those visiting Portman Road lately; https://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/2 ... cket-news/

Having been to Barrow, Oldham, Bradford, Walsall and Carlisle without proof of vaccination it does not make any sense at all let alone perfect sense

Not bothered about catching it and then passing it on?
E.g to your family members? There's a responsibility on all of us to be just that - responsible. Look at what's happening in Germany and Austria right now. Surely we want to avoid another lockdown here. I've not missed a home game and been to Bradford and Carlisle. I wear a mask until seated and have had 3 jabs. What is the big deal? Really, what is the big deal about not being responsible?

I have had 3 jabs hithebar22. I also behave responsibility. Stop making assumptions about me when you have no knowledge. In the open air there is low risk of transmission, no premiere league teams are asking for proof of vaccination. Are you in favour of asking for vaccination proof to go to a supermarket, pub, restaurant, bus, train etc? Covid is here for ever learn to live with it. Have you ever heard of Endemic equilibrium?

Passing what on? I had a horrific cold the other week (wasn’t covid) and I’m sure if anyone vulnerable caught that off me they would be in trouble. A few weeks before that I had covid and felt no different to normal. You scaremongers aren’t worried about the common cold but are about a virus that was blown way out of proportion

Even if you're vaccinated you can still catch it - and pass it on.
Go ask Eddie Howes. Had to stay away from his first game in charge at Newcastle yesterday due to Covid - and he was double vaccinated. A Premier League player - caught Covid on International duty in Jamaica - and became infected. Had to miss the game yesterday. He also had being double vaccinated.
Vaccinations don't stop anybody from becoming infected - or passing it on. They simply alleviate death.

As for Germany and Austria. They're both renowned for Fascism. Speaks volumes!

What is the big deal about not being responsible? Go tell that to the dirty f**kers who don't wash their hands after visiting the loo :?
Some of whom serve the general public in pubs and restaurants. That's the biggest cause of spreading ANY disease.
I went to Bradford and Carlise too and have attended most home games. I've noticed many people not washing their hands before eating food at those games. Very silly! And with regard to those who traveled to Bradford and Carlisle by rail and bus - imagine where their hands might have been and what they might have touched

A bottle of hand sanitiser costs 59p (must contain70% alcohol) in Home Bargains and fits into a pocket or purse.
Vaccines? Nah!
Responsibility starts at home - good hygiene. Stay Safe :D

Surely that adds more expense to the traveling costs - certainly if it isn't a group of people?
We don't pay The Trust to be driven to the outskirts of a town/city. We pay to be driven to the stadium. Why should we have to fork out more cash for a taxi?

If the bus stays at the pub it is because we have been told not to come there before kick off, that's the rules. Plus half of the grounds have no decent alehouses near it.
b) "The bus continues on to the ground and the expectation is that those in the pub make their own way. We have to produce a matchday plan]"
I can only speak for myself but apart from the visit to Taunton - when we were dropped off in the town itself - I have never known the bus to ferry those who wish to go direct to the ground. The bus waits outside the chosen stop off point and then ferries EVERYONE to the ground.
Not always

The point I'm making is that there are many who wish to travel direct to the ground - depart and then visit the pubs or take a walk around the town/city we are visiting. The Trust Bus now tends to stop at places on the perimeters of the town or city we are visiting. I certainly don't want to be stuck in a WMC or something similar when I'd rather see something of the town/city we're traveling to. In the light of this surely those traveling should be given a choice when booking?
These stop off points off have led to many now choosing to travel by rail. The cash spent on rail fares would be better off entering the coffers of The Trust.

Evidence doesn't bear that out, we have taken more folk than ever before. The difference is we have more rules to follow and the grounds are different in that quite a few are 'out of town' themselves. So, for example, we stopped in Banbury Town Centre and will likely do the same for Colchester

What/Whose rules? Those of the club hosting the game? The FA? The police?

We were advised to travel by bus to Brunton Park because of the walking distance to the ground from the rail station. We did it in 15 mins! Realised we had plenty of time so retraced our steps and had a few sherbets in the pubs on route. Unless you're immobile due to health factors - or laziness - most stadiums are with walking distance of pubs + you can have a walk around the town or city.

You say the bus is taking more than ever before. But surely that's because we have a bigger traveling contingent this season? I bet more traveled by rail to both Bradford and Carlisle. Yes?
And that's because most don't want to be stuck in a WMC on the perimeters of the town/city we're visiting. Personally, I think it needs a rethink - or the option to be driven to a location more nearer the stadiums?

There was an expert (government advisor) who said double vaccinated people reduced the chance of infecting another person by 70% and with this the chance of making someone really ill but Sea Dog Sam knows better 😉

There is not a lot of difference in a double jabbed persons chances of infecting another than an unvaxed infecting another. The only certainty is the vaccine helps greatly in reducing both hospitalisations and death. This IMO shows that covid passports are a complete waste of time. What about those that unvaxed have had covid and have antibodies?
