We`ll definitely be playiing on Wednesday 29th (covid permitting) because Boris and his merry men are`nt meeting till Monday 27th then if they decide to bring in any more restrictions they have to recall parliament this takes at least 2 days even then i think they wouldn`t do antthing till January 2nd !

Well, we will if neither our squad or Oldham's is hit with an outbreak.

Bradford are in such a position now and it must cast doubt on if the New Year game will be able to go ahead.

Only 5 of the 12 League 2 Boxing Day games still on (one down from this morning when I last looked). What price our game at Tranmere surviving for the next 3 days?

...and another one bites the dust. Just four games left now (including ours & Carlisle's).

That gives Bradford a massive advantage over us because we'll be playing a third game in 7 days and they've had time to rest etc !

Every sword is double edged. Bradfords last game will have been on 8th December. They haven’t played away in a month. They’ve had COvVID in the camp and none of us know how match fit many of their squad will be.

A 3-4 week break is far from ideal when your opponents have been playing. I don’t think that’s a massive advantage Nige.

Tranmere fan on another forum suggests they have cases in their squad.
Popular side since '03.

That’s my point. At the moment you don’t really know who you’re playing. For example FGR have been seriously affected by COVID. This started just after their 5-5 with Oldham. Does make you wonder whether some of their squad were on the verge of infection at that time

There could a few odd results in the next few weeks.
