Re: Barrow v Oldham match thread
720 minutes (plus added time) since we have scored in open play in the league.
Don't let the old man in.

Is this some kind of record?MisterPleasant wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 9:50 pm 720 minutes (plus added time) since we have scored in open play in the league.
The scariest thing is we haven’t really looked like scoring either.

I have seen some disappointing performances in my time, but this was one of the worst - even tho expected. First half we gave ball away time after time. Second half didn’t do that so much but had no idea how to create opportunities.
One paced, lack of energy, lack of ideas, and worst of all I think Oldham were stronger in the tackle and first to the ball.

Two poor teams, if we don't book our ideas up we will be down there with them.

Wonder if Carlisle will take Zanzala back on loan?

Absolute team of strangers out there tonight. Some need a [SwearFilter] good hard look in the mirror after that show. Nothing short of a disgrace that. Good crowd as well ffs

Re: Barrow v Oldham match thread
That was p*** poor how many times did we get in forward positions and pass it back ,we never take players on ,or try to commit them to get a free kick etc.,gotts and Stevens non existent the wingbacks hardly got forward and brown is useless!, there was no motivation tonight something is wrong, this performance was terrible and a decent crowd as well, Cooper has to take the blame starting with only one forward no wonder we don't score

Wikipedia: Offrande Zanzala - Professional footballer.

Dreadful! If I ever see Zanzala in a Barrow shirt again it will be too soon.
Not one player out there tonight deserves to wear the shirt.
Questions surely need to be getting asked of Cooper as well now?

Re: Barrow v Oldham match thread
Awful, just awful. We are lacking ideas and any confidence in punting it forward. Arthur saw so much of the ball, if only he had the confidence to take it forward. Both Platt and white played well, but the sideways passing between them brought me to despair.
I'd give a 'SEVEN' for the zanzala pirouette
for that tap in at the end........... summed up the night.
Not a good watch.

2 poor sides and poor officials need to get to the window as soon as possible and bring some in cannot see anyone wanting Zanzala from us .
Gordon was dragged down a few times got nothing off the ref

Re: Barrow v Oldham match thread
Two poor sides. We were poor Oldham were worse. We had a stonewall penalty turned down in the first half when Gordon was brought down. Great save from the keeper from the deflected shot from Mike Jones and an excellent headed goal line clearance from a Patrick Brought header. That was the first half. I cannot recall Farman being tested. Our second half performance was very poor. Nothing of note I can remember.
Re: Barrow v Oldham match thread
I brought 2 mates and their 4 kids to Holker St for the first time tonight. Safe to say I won't even bother asking them to come back for the Bradford game. Worst game I've seen this season and Zanzala is not a league player by anyones standards. The team looked lost going forward and that is purely down to a League football team playing with absolutely ZERO strikers.
