Massive clear out needed in an ideal world I’d be getting rid of numerous players costing us a fortune and replacing with better quality :

Sea
Devitt
Beadling
Luke James
Kosi
Zanzala
Arthur

Arthur is a loan player and did ok yesterday. Beadling should be given a chance if/when he is fit. Mike Jones can go IMO.

I know Arthur is a loan player but he should be returned to Hull he’s barely played and when he has he’s hardly set the world alight. Beadling is hardly ever fit which is the issue I have. And agree add Mike Jones to the list.

When you're 19th in the table half way through the season it generally means no one has set the world alight. Arthur wasn't any better or worse than Platt, Grayson or Brough last night.
Popular side since '03.

So where will these be offloaded to. If no one wants them , then what?

How do we get rid of players who are on 2 year deals 🤔 ? much as I agree with your sentiments, the problem we've had over the last season and a half is WHO has brought these players in and what have they based this on ?

Devitt for one a quick search would have found the Blackpool manager saying his attitude is all wrong, he goes to Newport doesn't get any game time, plus his injury history, so WE give him a 2 year contract unbelievable!

We sign Zanzala his goalscoring record isn't exactly prolific it seems as if we signed him because he played well against us !
Luke James can't get in Hartlepools team in the national league yet we give him a 2 year deal !

Kose again injury prone when he was at Scunthorpe, yet we get him on a 2 year deal!
Our strategy for signing players is P**s Poor we'll never survive in this league unless we stop throwing good money away, I don't know who’s involved in the signing process but based on what's gone on lately it's really worrying!
COME ON BOARD WAKE UP!

Can't argue with any of those points Nige. I was against Devitt from the start because of his injuries. If he gets a couple of hours game time from now till end of contract, I'd be surprised.
Our recruitment bar a few has been shocking and cost the club a lot of money.

I think that, due to our limited finances (and competing calls for money to be spent on the ground etc), we have generally picked up people that not many other clubs wanted. On the other hand, we could spend a small fortune and still not buy success. The best signings have mainly been youngsters who could develop (although, before anyone says it, there have been failures there too - where is Callum Gribbin now).

Definitely a few need to be shipped out. I really hoped Devitt would be fit this season and where is Sea ???? We should never have let Angus go so easily. We've got to get an older headed striker up front as i think Zanzala whos what 24? Would benefit from a more experienced player alongside him.

To be honest Jim we haven't made many decent signings our best players Platt white brough were with us in the national league I've been underwhelmed by our signings they've been really poor apart from Gotts Gordon and Stevens when he's at it it's been abysmal.

Bar one or two, our signings from day one back in the EFL have been at best - ok, at worst totally shambolic. When you look at the break down Nige has posted it shows just how bad our recruiting has been, injury prone, bad attitudes, inconsistent or not good enough in their “specialised” roles etc etc.
Some of them players will be on very good wages as well.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

There are 3 or 4 that can go for me if we need to lose some to bring some in but I don't think the issue is the players that we DO have, it's what we DON'T have. We aren't that far away from being a decent side, generally keep the ball well and spirit amongst the players seems reasonably high. We are just missing one or two vital ingredients to turn us into a top half team.

Think Dior saw pound signs at the Hollywood Racecourse but it hasn't quite worked out. Been overtaken by bigger fish and rumour has it he will be out of the door in January.

I’d forgotten all about Sea. Is he still in France?

Agree.. Our recruitment in the EFL has truly been shocking. People need to be held accountable.

I can’t think of more than one player since we’ve been in it that if he left I’d be arsed and that’s Gotts.

Sadly we aren’t going to get rid of an injured Devitt or Nthle in January but seriously need to be getting whoever we can off the lists above off the books ASAP
