Everyone seems to be ignoring what Adam has already said, which MC confirmed a couple of weeks ago, in that any signings are likely to be promising youngsters from higher levels who need experience and game time. Such as the lad from Villa perhaps.

Difficult for teams to let players leave at the moment, due to COVID. They need to keep as many as they can to fulfil their fixtures. I just think we have to be patient for a while.

Now that would be an exciting prospect. Has just signed terms with Villa until 2025 but would they want him to get game time at a L2 club. Why not.
Still searching for the Young Soul Rebels

Nah, if they let the youngsters go out on loan it makes it easier for them to postpone.

He was way and above their best player and scorer. Lest we panic we should remember that there are sides in L2 in a worse state than ours.

Tyler Smith was playing for Hull 1st team against Blackpool this week so unlikely they will let him leave.

I think he was on loan at Solihull last season so it would be a progression for the lad. Villa 'know us' now so who knows. If not him maybe someone of a similar status.

There are TWENTY SIX days of the 'window' left. Anyone signed now would probably be cup-tied and unavailable for Saturday. As we don't have another game for a week there is no need to panic. Panic could result in a wrong decision in the long-run

Another take on that is that bringing a player in this week who may be cup tied gives us a week and a half to integrate them into the squad before unleashing them into a league game. Paul Hornby did say in a recent interview with Adam on Radio Cumbria that he would be very surprised if we have no new sightings in the first few days of the window. Targets he said has been identified

I’d rather we got in early, signed the player/players we want , rather than have the pick of what’s left. Plus it would give Us, the fans a lift.

Carlisle’s manager saying this morning that they’ve been told they’ll have to wait til the end of Jan for their targets to be released….some clubs are making signings….some are reluctant to let players go so they have cover themselves.

They’ll turn up when they turn up.

Well, it would be nice to think that they "turn up", sooner rather than later, for obvious reasons!.
