I have been to Barnsley and sat in the away end. I can't recall any open terrace. Anyway, forecast for tomorrow is 9c. Bring your shades and shorts.

I dont know which picture of Oakwell you are looking at? All sides at Barnsley have a roof over them.
Only 2 of these are being used, so you will have a roof over you.
But it will still be cold.

The West Stand is now the only original part of Oakwell Stadium left standing. However, it was made 'all-seater' in 1995 and has had numerous alterations over the years in line with ground regulations.

The stand is made up of two tiers, with only the upper tier covered. Many of those upper tier seats are the originals from the late 19th century.

Capacity is around 4,700, but the north side of the stand hasn't been open to supporters for much of the last 10 years.

This stand was closed to supporters in October of 2021 owing to the findings of a structural report, crowd management issues and a number of safety concerns. But after remedial work and satisfactory reports during November and December, the south side of the stand was set to re-open to supporters in January of 2022.

So its going to be uncovered and in a stand which is falling to bits!!

It is a good effort in challenging times and having looked at the online availability earlier this morning, my estimate was heading that way. Now all of a sudden, the availability appears to have diminished quite substantially and either loads more tickets have been bought in the past three hours and/or BFC has removed some in readiness for pay-on-the-day tomorrow. Game on.

Hopefully, by 4.50pm tomorrow, it will be a case of 'Barrow, we've just made history. Barrow, we've just made history...'as we head into the fourth round for the first time.

I took it from the 'Barnsley Cronicle' the coach said the team will be picked Saturday morning depending who can play and they've had 7 youth prospects training with the first team this week.

Looking forward to a great day out and hopefully the lads are well up for an upset.

Agreed, let's hope we go for it and win within 90 minutes. Looking at the Barnsley forums, a Barrow win may not upset too many locals as they rail against the owners and the way their club is being run. We can sympathise as we have been there, albeit in somewhat different circumstances.
