Great game. At 0-2 with 10 men I was thinking all over, may as well go home. That strike of Banks galvanised us and we just would not surrender.

Does anyone know when Adams interview with Mark Cooper will be broadcast?

What a fantastic effort! Some outstanding goals ( some poor defending to ... ) at least we’ve discovered how to score. Beading let everyone down, Im sure he knows that. But the 10 were more than equal to Barnsley. It’s a proud day to be a Bluebird. Credit to all 1200+ who were there too.
Re: Barnsley v BARROW match thread
No excuse for Beadling red card, but it could have been different if the ref had acted differently before the incident.
A Barrow player was bearing down on goal and he was fouled, but ref waved play on, but two touches later someone was flattened in the box and he ignored appeals for a penalty. As Barnsley won possession, should he have brought play back for the earlier foul when he played advantage?
It was from this possession that Barnsley came away with the ball and Beadling committed the foul.

Re: Barnsley v BARROW match thread
Good to see the players take some responsibility and make a fight of it second half. Didn’t let themselves down and believed they could get back in it, which they did. Thought we then went back to the Barrow we see week in, week out in extra time with nothing up front. Maybe that was tiredness.
Cooper spends most of his time blaming the referee in his interview, saying we would have won it but for him. In reality, there’s things we didn’t control that we could have . We would have won it with 11 men on the pitch and the first goal was poor marking with 11 on the pitch.
Want to see that effort and desire at Colchester next week along with lessons learned otherwise it means nothing.

All ifs, buts and maybes. You react to what’s happening. The fact we didn’t get a penalty moments before or the ref didn’t give a foul isn’t an excuse for Beadlings tackle which was a clear red.Jim wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 8:28 pm No excuse for Beadling red card, but it could have been different if the ref had acted differently before the incident.

Hate today’s blame culture where it’s always somebody else’s fault. It’s nobody’s fault we lost except for our own.

I'm proud as hell of that fighting spirit today.
