The 1st and 3rd goals he could have had. They arent even difficult, slow clipped in balls. Id be dissappoint if a west lancs keeper wouldnt come for them. Very very poor, i liked him but you cant just be a decent shot stopper. He could take loads of pressure off his back line
A keeper needs to be brave and put his body in where he might get hurt. For me Farman does not do that.

Shouldnt be in this league if he cant come for crosses, watch the highlights, the 1st goal, the flick on is almost on his front post about 3 yards out. Embarrassing. The 3rd, u he can see it coming all the way, it hasnt got loads of pace on the ball

Have to disagree, both should have been dealt with by the defenders.

Agree Big E. Was right on the corner flag for their first yesterday. The ball in was glanced backward and slightly outwards and then glanced towards and in the goal. We failed to clear both and were beaten to the ball twice. Farman was pinned on his line. It was a defensive failure. As far as I can remember the third goal Bowery came from slightly behind his marker and simply powered his way through. Primary responsibility has to be the defender unless Farman called.

Both shud have been delt with by defenders but he can come amd take the pressure off them by coming for the ball. Take the 3rd for example. It was a 30 yard ball, not an awful lot of pace and was headed in on the six yard line, farmans starting postition should be about 3 yards out. U think he shouldnt come for it amd leave it to defenders backtracking 10 yards? Really? Absolutely clueless. Can either of u remember him coming for ONE cross this year?just one?

He never came for those balls because he thinks his centre half is dealing with it, having looked at the goals we are just not strong or aggressive enough to get the head on it. No wonder Cooper was fuming. These are standard league 2 goals. At the other end, we rarely score these types of goals.

You must have thought it could change if you thought an unbeaten run till the end of the season post the Barnsley game was a good target to set ?

I was astounded yesterday that Glennon wasn't given MoM! He was the only spark of ingenuity on display.

I'm a big, big fan of Platt but, man alive, he was awful yesterday. Everything he did was wrong.

Leading up to the free kick for their third- The lack of a challenge from Hutton when he had a perfect opportunity to break down the move in the Mansfield half and he allows Oates to get past him far too easily and then (I think it’s James Jones running alongside the Mansfield player), again no real challenge and he eventually gets checked by Ollie Banks (booked for it). The build up to this free kick is some of most half hearted defending I’ve seen this season. It is that poor. Hutton on the ball and attacking is great but if he is going to be a good player he has to be prepared to tackle as well. It could all so easily have been cut out.

I noticed that when Banks checked the Mansfield player, Hutton was well forward of him. Then Banks seemed to remonstrate with Hutton - possibly saying he had to check the man because Hutton wasn't tracking him? I also noticed that for the second goal, Hutton decided too late to rush out to block the shot. We know, however, that defending is his weakness, so presiumably when selcting his team, Cooper needs to weigh Hutton's attacking potential versus his defensive weakness.

And incidentally, regarding Jones not challenging to win headers in his own box, he did manage it at the other end to score his goal!

The first goal straight from kick-off Harris lets the player go past him should have a least try a tackle.

Hutton has cost us goals a number of times this year with his poor tracking back and powder puff tackling. Technically he is a good ball player but when it comes to the ugly side of the game he is very poor. On Saturday he should have stopped Rhys Oates before he got into his stride. It took a bookable challenge from Ollie Banks to do that and the resulting free kick was goal number 3.
