Are we still looking for the no nonsense striker who doesn't mind putting his head in where it hurts? Where we ever looking for one?
Cooper said in his interview last Saturday that it was all done.

Well lets hope this pays off. We have struggled for goals all season and we putting a lot of faith in some lads who all come highly rated and they need to have an instant impact. Harris has scored 9 in 10 Under 23 games which is impressive so lets hope he can bring that into our side. We desperately need his goals to get up the table. I believe he is an out and out striker so maybe Cooper will put faith in him to play as a lone striker.

Wrexham signed Wimbledons top scorer tonight; a big physical target man of a striker which is what we need but players are happy to drop from League One to non league chasing money these days. More difficult than ever to sign decent players with the cash the likes of Wrexham, Stockport, Chesterfield etc are throwing around, just the lure of “league football” isn’t enough anymore

Wow. They could have got Zanzala for less than that.

The 2 young lads look lost and I've yet to see them get a single shot off at goal in 2 home games. In fact we've only had 3 on target in those 2 games "very worrying" it wasn't too long ago we were having 60-70% possession and several shots on target but that seems to have gone. Has Gordon being injured made a massive impact?
I could see a defender coming in but i seriously think we need a bully player up front to help the younger lads out. Lots of seriously tough matches coming up and we need points !

Couple of seasons ago we brought in Kemy Agustien and he had an instant impact on the side. We had no hesitation in going down that route at that time and I think we need to do this again for a couple of seasoned campaigners but its down to the manager and what he wants to do. Experience alongside the team will help with the confidence which we are lacking at the moment. Leadership to help grind out some desperately needed wins. Saying that, he had no hesitation in letting the experienced Ellis move on which surprised many.

My personal oppinion is that if our transfer business has been concluded then, with respect to those two young chaps brought in to score goals,we are down.
And, something just doesnt sit right with me in terms of Mark Cooper bringing those two youngsters in to help score goals. I could have understood his logic in bringing these two not physically strong enough, inexperienced league two lads in to the club if we had been Forest Green and going well in the league, just to see how they perform.
Did Mark Cooper 'really' have no other choice other than to bring these two kids in?. If I had been the chairman of the club or even a director with a bit of football nouse, I would have been really sceptical about this decision and questioned it knowing full well that if it doesnt work relegation will be a nailed on certainty.

There is something seriously wrong behind the scenes when young lads who were said to chomping at the bit to prove themselves to their own clubs, come in and perform just like the rest, devoid of passion and self-belief.
