The manager blamed the conditions and the players. He suggested he had backed the players in public until now, which isn’t my recollection. He suggested a clear out was required - was he not involved in the January transfers.

I get that the club may not be as professional as he might like but he doesn’t come across as a professional manager. He sounds more like a rather jaded fan. I don’t think he has the answers and we are relying on one from Oldham and Stevenage remaining in poor form.

More than likely. In his interview with Adam he blamed the players for playing it to the side and backwards. Who trains them? Who sets the tactics? He said that at half-time all he said was 'go out and express yourselves'. That's real motivation isn't it? He's a man going through the motions to pick up a nice fat salary.
You're very much mistaken. According to his post match interview, his instructions at half time to the team was, "basically just to run about" 👀

Coopers interview, give wakeling and sea a chance next, isn’t that the same Sea who lasted about 15 minutes against Barnsley before being taken off? Common theme this season, poor at home, play better away.

The manager's post-match interview with Adam was strange, as though what the players were doing out on the pitch had nothing to do with how they practise/train. All the things that people have said on here, he was saying: "Stop passing it backwards and sideways. Get it up the pitch more quickly."; "You're a centre forward, stop running channels. Just stick the ball in the net, that's what you're there for." The general tone was that some are not doing what they're supposed to (damn right about that - Ed) and that others - Wakeling and Sea - might be given the chance next time out.
Don't let the old man in.

He said Wakeling was the most clinical finisher at the club THEN WHY THE F**K isn't he playing him? it defies logic !

Terrible on pitch, no desire or interest from to may players.

As for off it,
Why have we now got an extra large segregation area next to to the segregation
Why are stewards guessing peoples ages and not letting under 18s past a certain point on the Holker st end.
Why are them SIA Bouncer bullies telling stewards to go and sort kids out for banging on the cladding. (I witnessed and heard that) who's in charge?

Barrow AFC does not tolerate discrimination I heard over tannoy today,

Really?

That was a horrible watch today. There just seems to be no consistency in this team.I am beginning to think that Mark Cooper does not what his best team is and most of our players are so indecisive when it comes to passing the ball and take so long that when they do finally do it the opposition is on to them.
Although Ollie Banks scored our one and only goal today there was a point when he was trying to get past two of their players who were either side of him instead of quickly passing the ball. This indecision which affects nearly the whole team needs to end before we continue on a downward spiral.
Barrow supporters deserve better than this We have supported them in large numbers both home and away and it's about time these players started repaying them with better performances instead of the pedestrian way this game was played today.

His interviews just contradicts himself each week, jan transfer window “we need a 6.2 foot striker to lob the ball to” now we have one/ got one on loan, who hasn’t produced, it’s back to the young lads for a punt.

One of the strangest post match interviews I’ve heard and his way forward seems to be to make changes - again.

If the game plan was to ‘run about for the fans’ then we’re in serious trouble. If they aren’t doing what the game plan was then we’re in trouble. If Wakeling is the most clinical striker at the club but isn’t getting played then we’re in trouble.

It sounds like he knows who the problem players are so we now have two options.

A) Get rid of the manager and bring in someone the players listen too and will give them a rocket up the you know what.

B) Hang on to him, pray to cowps we manage to stay up and let him have a rebuild on the summer, getting rid of players who’ve under performed.

Don't mean to give offence but are you just beginning to think that? Quite a lot on here said it weeks ago!

Players, just like managers, don't just turn shit overnight. The reason for a lot of the things you guys are picking up is totally down to a lack of confidence which comes from not having results go our way this season and then panicking, not wanting to be the one who makes a mistake and looking over our shoulder. I have seen the same with my daughters under 14 team for goodness sake.
Mark Cooper has a proven track record and we know what the likes of Platt, Rooney, Brough etc are capable of.
We know we can't hit a cows arse with a banjo up front but the players need supporting not bloody lynching for every single little mistake.

Assuming we stay up (which I think we will) I think you will see a lot if dead wood out of the door and a focus on obtaining a potent strike force. With some confidence and a couple of strikers I really don't think we are a million miles off a decent team.

*dons tin hat ready for barrage of incredulity
Having a different opinion isn’t being deluded.

I’m fed up of hearing ‘we aren’t far off being a good team’ when in my opinion we’re a million miles from it. The football is awful to watch, I walk out of the gates at every game wondering why I bothered. Some of the mistakes aren’t through lack of confidence, they’re through poor decision making. We can’t defend crosses into our box, we play backwards and sideways even when the manager has told them to go forwards to Holloway (his post match words), we don’t get players into the oppositions box, we won’t shoot from outside the box.

This isn’t your daughters under 14s team. These players are paid to perform and to entertain, it’s their job. If they aren’t up to it, then footballs a harsh business and they need to find somewhere else.

Can we afford to do that?

He seems to be a manager who needs a bottomless pit of money to buy in players who turn out to be useless because he is incapable of motivating them, so if we give him another shedload of money and it has the same effect what is the point?

People have said it will be costly to sack him and to some extent I agree with that, but what the board has to weigh up is the cost of keeping him on, and giving him a shedload of money which is unsustainable, to bring in more useless players, against giving him the bullet and bringing in someone who knows what he's doing, which will be more cost effective going forward.

No point sacking him this season but I think decisions have to be made in the summer.

Facts don't lie. I would love to ask him: Why is play-maker Gott at right-full back? Why do we play hoof-ball and into the wind at that? Why do we give the ball away with so many bad passes? Clearly our forwards can't score, they're simply on the pitch to make-up the numbers. Glennon had a shocker. We will likely stay up because there are 2 worse teams than us. There were 2 positives however, a good attendance (which won't last) and a sunny day. :P
"We will likely stay up because there are 2 worse teams than us" ??. Are you for real,or what !.
Cant ya see whats happening?. We just aint capable of bloody scoring, cant ya see that !. They just havent got it within them to score and, their confidence is now bolloxed as well.
You know as well as I do that Sheridan will make sure that Oldham creep over the line cos at least Sheridan has at least 'some' idea. As for the Orient game next week, ya know what the script is now.

Well our abysmal/pathetic home record continues how we are getting these attendances is remarkable, NEVER in the history of the Club have we won less than four homes games in a season, we only won 4 homes games in 1925/26 Division 3(N) & 1963/64 Division 4, so with 4 home games left against Port Vale, Forest Green, Sutton & Northampton who are we going to beat to stop us having our worst home record in history. If we fail to win again at home this season(last season only 3 homes games with crowds and 1 win)then a grand total of 4 wins for fans to watch.
