The players have got to stand up and when that whistle goes show that passion needed to win a football match. We needed to get off to a flyer with a high tempo and straight at them to keep the fans onside and the vocal backing needed. It wasn't there. That is not Cooper.

Given the manager doesn’t seem to have had a say in January recruitment (or he is disingenuous) what do you think his role is? Picking the team, deciding on formation and having them ready from the get go would seem fundamental.

I like Mark Cooper but his remaining advocates on here seem to think the team should manage themselves.

Although, this year I think 45 will be enough because I can’t see Oldham winning 5 of their last 10 and Stevenage winning 4 of their last 9.

Excellent crowd in a first for many Cumbrian derby and we turn in a passionless pedestrian performance like that.

Are you seriously suggesting Cooper didn’t have a say in who we signed..? Do you think he is the kind of man (I’m not saying manager for a very good reason) to accept being told who he’s getting? He’d be running straight to any media outlet that would listen. He’s used virtually every excuse under the Sun but even he’s not that stupid to try and get away with that one!

Absolutely no way Cooper didn’t have a say in Jan who came in, this is total rubbish.

Agreed, he mentioned in various interviews he wanted a big striker who can head/ hold the ball up, he got that in Jan. He then seemed to fall out with Matty platt after that Mansfield game, got Bradfords captain as CB. Nonsense to suggest the board are telling someone as head strong as Cooper to get which players they want.

No I am not suggesting that. I am suggesting he blames everyone else for everything and some people still think he’s doing a good job.

He was too caught up on the event, shouting and screaming a players and the officials with meaningless rants. Tried to play up to the traditional crazy keeper but doesn’t back it up with focus when required.

We might as well go for it in matches and get beat 3 or 4 nil than try and hang on 90 minutes for a 0-0 or IF we manage to score hang on to a 1-0 win.
