Thought I had timed my arrival at 2-50 to perfection on Saturday only to have to endure a further hour and a half of torture---not the football. Even the drum is becoming more appealing in comparison.

Excited to test this theory this afternoon.
Popular side since '03.

So what happens today then. Raiders draw 18-18 at home to a team that has so far lost all their games this season. Be careful what you say. Don't get me wrong I support both Barrow teams but we do have a certain way of shooting ourselves in the foot don't we?

To summarise, you usually walk away from the rugby feeling like the lads have given their all, I haven’t had that feeling for a long time at Holker Street. I’ve always said, if we get beat then so be it, but we should always try to win the game.
The rugby have also done the ‘off the field’ stuff far better and are reaping the benefits of it.

I was at rugby yesterday enjoyed the game and was very surprised how the players interact with the kids in the ground everyone of them stays on the field acknowledges the crowd and stay on the field having photos took and signing autographs for the kids.
Then after the match in the tent a speech from the chairman and the manager and players mingling with the supporters.
And a DJ on to keep the atmosphere going.
Barrow raiders thank you very much for a top day .
Barrow football take note and get the players to interact more with kids not just a few clapping the crowd and disappear down tunnel. Stay and do autographs for kids it will pay dividends in the end

To be fair I’ve been at plenty of home games this season where players have signed stuff after the game (Brough in particular always seems excellent at this sort of thing)

Also, MoM has come into the cross bar in the past to be presented, as well as them going around hospitality.

This always gets trotted out when one is having a better season than the other.

The Rugby do make it a better occasion it’s more of a day out and you don't mind spending in the ground. I was made to feel like a criminal at HS because my ST wouldn’t scan on several occasions and was even refused entry luckily a sensible steward let me in the gate. I’m not even sure the scanners work on the turnstiles, take into account the cashless fiasco & the issues with U18s on Sat and it does seem the club enjoy peeing fans off.barrowaberdeen wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 11:06 am This always gets trotted out when one is having a better season than the other.

If they do work they don’t look at the season tickets being scanned in. I accidentally used my sons under 7 season ticket and got in no troubleBack of the net wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 2:06 pmThe Rugby do make it a better occasion it’s more of a day out and you don't mind spending in the ground. As a supporter of both clubs I think what makes it more likely that the Raiders will do the sort of things you talk about is that there were eight local lads in the team that played yesterday. Their mates and families are in the crowd, and it is probably the case that, as rugby league is a lot smaller world than soccer it is more closely nit. And, as has been pointed out, this usually crops up when one team is having a better season than the other. Even so, Steve Neale, the chairman and Paul Crarey the coach are doing good things down at Craven Park.
