Agreed. Really positive and seems to know what he's talking about, and will hopefully give the squad their confidence back.

He learned off the best when it comes to sound bites he worked under Big Sam. He ain’t for me. I hope he keeps us up but after that please Mr Hornby get rid.

Says all the right things- round pegs round holes, so I don't expect anything other than get it in the box when attacking and out the box when defending. The players have to take responsibility though for their individual battles and getting some aggression in their play- this really is nine cup finals. I hope they have got it in them and start talking to each other and backing each other up on the pitch!

Certainly in our own mini league now. Anyone from 18th down can still get sucked in. Harrogate and Carlisle are safe enough a couple of points will sort them out. A point at Orient Saturday will be a very welcome addition to our league total.

If it gets defenders turning to face their own goal and the speed of Gotts or Stevens bearing down on them then, who knows?

Its all opinions, but in mine those who think Cooper would have kept us up are deluding themselves. It has been obvious for weeks that something has been badly wrong, and performances have been nothing like those we had earlier in the season. There have been no signs of improvement in recent displays, and Cooper seemed at a loss to know how to change things. If he'd stayed I think it more likely that the steady decline would have continued with relegation the most probable outcome, and I speak as someone who supported his appointment and thought he would consolidate our position in the EFL. The board had to act quickly, and they have. Whether Phil Brown is the answer the next few weeks will tell, but as others have said, at least he sounds positive, and I'm sure he and the team will have everyone's support, whatever doubts some may have.

Time will only tell if Brown/McDonald worked, I would be more concerned if Hornby/Shearer lose interest. Oldham & Stevenage will have a big say whether we stay up or not.
