Just watched the TikTok video from a link on the Barrow AFC Twitter page. A bit of a PR stunt, but at the same time it made a good impression of a person who cares about the club and the wider town that the club represents. Hope he does a good job with these 9 games and at the end of the season we are wanting him to stay. Can't help but like him, seems like a genuine man.

Remember it well. I can still remember Phil Brown breaking down the right wing toward the open terrace behind the goal where we were all packed in.

Yes, I was talking about Phil Brown and his role in that Bolton win over us in January 1991 just a couple of days ago. I recall the EM write-ups and Bolton manager Phil Neale didn't offer any praise to Barrow. By contrast Phil Brown was complimentary to us and our performance.

I think he has a soft spot for Barrow.
On one of our return trips in 2011 we came across him
at a service station.
Our fans serenaded him with the You're Getting Sacked in the Morning as he transferred from their coach to his car.
Laughing he came to the coach window and asked "who are you". I held my scarf up and he just nodded, smiled and went off.
What struck me was how despite being under immense pressure he took it in good spirit as banter.
Not sure many would have dealt with it like that.
I think he did lose his job not long after.
As long as he doesn't take to the mic on the pitch and sing when we stay up, as he did at Hull, I think he will be ok.
