This take that Mark Cooper sent his team out to deliberately lose games is right up with there with any load of nonsense that has ever been posted on this forum
I guess you’re not hearing the stories that l am now hearing. Never heard anything like them in my 50+ years of supporting the club.
Enlighten us then, so we can make our own minds up. No point in saying something so seemingly absurd without anything to back it up.

Utter drivel. If I’m wrong let’s have some evidence.

Brown captained Wanderers at Barrow in the 1991 FA Cup second round, where Tony Philliskirk’s goal earned Phil Neal’s side a third round tie with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
It wasn't at Holker Street.

It's not about taking wintergreen's bait or anything like that it is questioning a professional football managers integrity and all that goes with it. And, of course, it's the usual keyboard warriors excuse - you don't know what I know etc etc.

A person has lost his job, yes I know he probably agree a pay off deal, but he can't be feeling too great about what happened. So lets move on and hope that PB can get us over the line. God help him if we get off to a poor start (we have some very difficult games coming up starting with today) with some of the people on this forum. I actually think a number on here really want this club to fail which beggars belief but it shouldn't be surprised as every football club has people (not supporters) like that.

I don't believe anyone on here wants the club to fail. The problem I have and many more I've spoken to is that the appointment of Phil Brown is very underwhelming to say the least. His record in the last four years does nothing to inspire. Personally after the nine games I would shake is hand thank him and look elsewhere. If that's not the case then so be it and I hope I and many others are proved wrong and he does well but at this present moment in time I have serious reservations about his appointment.

Yeah it's not even bait and no body took the bait even if it was.

Nothing wrong with a joke but accusing someone of throwing matches purposefully is a bit odd

Someone has lost their job and I did like MC. It's unfortunate for everyone concerned that it didn't work out.

I'm liking PB's positivity though !

My text was not whether you or anyone else liked or disliked PB it's about certain people who give me the impression that they want the club to fail. It's on that point we disagree. Agree?

Very much agree with this. I’m 100% behind the team, and hopefully time will make me warm to Browm

Like him or loathe him, surely the issue is that if you need a manager urgently, with just 9 games left, how many people will be available? And if any experienced manager is sitting at home, waiting for a call, then logicially he must have lost his job somewhere else.

I like his positive outlook and he has loads of experience rather have that than a inexperienced man at the helm given our league position. Some daft comments on here about Cooper.

Re Cooper I heard from someone close to the club that he tendered his resignation, which is probably why they said 'by mutual consent'.

Mark Cooper is an honourable man even if he’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but frankly who is?

Some people think the earth is flat and the moon is made of cheese. They’re not right, but that’s what they believe. Someone losing their job is not funny especially after they have worked so hard , and it is disrespectful to all concerned- board , staff , players and fans - to suggest he’s done other than his best.

Those disappointed with PB appointment, need to understand there was hardly a long line of people with the right experience waiting in the wings. He’s brave enough to take it on. Let’s see how he does.

Come on ye Bluebirds !

I wonder how many people had the same misgivings about Evatt's appointment.? Not overwhelmed I'm sure
First time managing with no experience turned down by his own club for their managerial vacancy?
Well we all know how that turned out don't we.
Let's give the man a chance and reserve judgement until results are in. Not an easy task to lift demoralised players but he seems a positive kind of person to do it.
3 points today would be fantastic.
