Re: Orient v Barrow match thread
Any news on the simpleton who in his wisdom decided to climb over the segregation only to be filled in my two kids yesterday? Bet he woke up in a state this morning with regrets. Embarrassing episode however probably the most entertainment I took from yesterdays trip to the capital.

Key going into this relegation battle is having the desire and fight that will be needed to get results, yet having read many fan comments from the game yesterday and the match thread, the way things unfolded makes all too familiar reading. Was there anything positive coming out of yesterday? We are relying on the results of the three teams below us which thankfully went our way again yesterday.

The only positive was that it is now time for Jason T to be on the sidelines in his coaching role. Been a great servant, but yesterday he was way off.

Re: Orient v Barrow match thread
As far as I'm concerned, Banks is only good when we have the ball. His defensive efforts are pretty non-existent. Rooney is not the same player as when he left but is still light years ahead of any of our other players in terms of controlling a ball and passing a ball. Having said that to actually think of leaving either out of the team when we have clowns like Gordon and Holloway in it is laughable. I'd sooner play Banks or Rooney as strikers before playing those two!

Re: Orient v Barrow match thread
After yesterday`s game most of the players have been criticised on the forum, so I ask in all honesty will we win again this season if the defence keep gifting goals and we have so called strikers who do not score, how do we keep out of the bottom 2, we can`t rely on Oldham & Stevenage all the time, should we give Wakeling Harris & Sea a start and see what happens or stick with Holloway & Gordon.

Hopefully, tomorrow night Orient will win at Boundary Park which leaves Oldhams run in to the end of the season is pretty much as tough as ours and it would be asking a lot for them to overtake us.
I do think PB will get some more points out of this Barrow side. I dont think he will tolerate the capitulation witnessed in the second half against Orient.
I think we'll just get over the line.

The Orient game showed how poor we are.Middleton Nick wrote: ↑Sun Mar 27, 2022 5:26 pm The only positive was that it is now time for Jason T to be on the sidelines in his coaching role. Been a great servant, but yesterday he was way off.
Jason Taylor gives a 100% but reminds me of Darren Sheridans performances runs around but does not get tackles in.
The one he should have done saw them score the second goal
Rooney is being left to do it all and noticed how he tried to get forward.
Holliway and the rest of the front line totally devoid of ideas no link up play.
Banks has gone down hill since signing a new contract.
It's looking bad and if we are to stay up it will because of 2 other worse teams.
Dimitri sea and kay need a run out and I would be tempted to move Brough further up the field
Re: Orient v Barrow match thread
PB said he is trying to arrange a behind-closed-doors game tomorrow hopefully to give a fit again Joe Grayson some game time because he said specifically ' left-footed centre-backs are at a premium'. Quite posible then that he is toying with the idea of moving Brough forward.

Not sure i've seen many who can deliver the ball in to the box as well as Brough in a Barrow shirt since watching us as a kid. He is good wherever he plays as he's probably our best player but we need to utilise his attacking strengths especially if we can get Grayson back in.SKIPPER wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 9:02 am PB said he is trying to arrange a behind-closed-doors game tomorrow hopefully to give a fit again Joe Grayson some game time because he said specifically ' left-footed centre-backs are at a premium'. Also think Sea deserves a chance now.
Phil Brown will have to roll a few dice between now and final game.

Stick Beadling up top with Sea, cant do any worse, our front two need to change its plainly obvious and has been for months now. Beadling, Sea, White, and Kay to start and even Grayson if fit.

Re: Orient v Barrow match thread
Brough is a far better player at left back, or left wing back than at centre back, so hopefully that’s the idea. He was one of our players of the season last year playing that role.SKIPPER wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 9:02 am PB said he is trying to arrange a behind-closed-doors game tomorrow hopefully to give a fit again Joe Grayson some game time because he said specifically ' left-footed centre-backs are at a premium'. There are lots of folk all over Britain who like to climb over segregation fences of a weekend just to be filled in on the other side-its a right good laugh !.

Re: Orient v Barrow match thread
Canavan is a left-footed centre-back so he could already have moved Brough forward and played a 3 at the back of Jones, Platt and Canavan. Unfortunately, Canavan is so slow that I doubt if he will be moved from the centre of the 3 which is where Platt should be playing. With Grayson coming back we have 3 left-footed centre backs so hardly at a premium for us!SKIPPER wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 9:02 am PB said he is trying to arrange a behind-closed-doors game tomorrow hopefully to give a fit again Joe Grayson some game time because he said specifically ' left-footed centre-backs are at a premium'.
