Salford v Barrow match thread
Re: Salford v Barrow match thread
So by my reckoning - fee free to correct - Oldham have played 43 and have 37 points, we have played 42 and have 41 points.
So, if Oldham win all remaining 3 (46 points) we would need 5 points maximum from our final 4 games - and realistically 4 points because of the goal differences. If Oldham get 7/9 points from those 3 games we likely need 1 win from 4.
Not safe yet but we're looking pretty good. Enjoy your evening folks.

Adam saying that there seems to be video evidence the ball wasn’t over the line but the ball did brush the hand of Brough!

No, we would need the 5 points giving us also 46 points and the goal difference would then come into effect. 4 points wouldn't be enough.Shaun wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 5:05 pm So by my reckoning - fee free to correct - Oldham have played 43 and have 37 points, we have played 42 and have 41 points.

Do not tempt fate. would you have thought we'd get four points over Easter? And hammered FGR 4-0? Oldham apparently played well and missed a penalty. We are in the crazy end of the season.prague bluebird wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 5:04 pm Oldham still have to play Salford, Tranmere and Crawley, from which they would need 5 points. I cant see that happening.
Lets just try and win our games

Good day out with Rainford Tours Ltd. Thought we were the better team but if a point was offered beforehand I'd have taken it .Get a result Saturday and the pain eases.

FORZA BLUEBIRDS , well that was a great Easter , fantastic turn out by the fans , wish I’d been there. BLUEBIRD for ever.
Re: Salford v Barrow match thread
Gutted we didn't get the win but feels a massive point all the same. Oldham realistically need 2 wins from 3.
Popular side since '03.
Re: Salford v Barrow match thread
PB being interviewed now saying bad that it has been decided by an indecisive call. The referee apparently told him well if I didn’t give the goal I would have had to give a penalty for hand ball.
John Rooney is claiming the goal but so is Josh Gordon said PB

Re: Salford v Barrow match thread
The most reassuring thing is that we now look as though we can compete and cause teams problems, whereas before last Friday I honestly couldn't see another win coming beacuse we never looked like scoring. So I am hopeful of more points - certainly from our remaining home games.
Re: Salford v Barrow match thread
Great result lads ...and the goals are flowing again ... which will probably mean that the confidence is flowing too ... This 'weekend' has put us in a much stronger situation ... As things stand one more win could be enough ... but we can do better than that can't we ...
First match : Barrow v Northampton Town : Sat. 24th Sept. 1960 ... won 1-0... ( which was nice )

Adam's interview with Phil Brown: great spirit; happy man re workrate, belief, passion; undone by an "indecision"; if it was handball then give a penalty rather than rely on liner 40 yds away; improvements made are on the training ground re fitness and running; Holloway got no protection, likens him to Bolton's Kevin Davies, thought he was unplayable of the 2 strikers.
Don't let the old man in.

Yes another good game from Holloway.

If we stay up, nobody hand him a microphone on the pitch, ok.

Another very decent performance to follow the Forest Green match. Shame about the late Salford goal but still a good away point. Team seems fitter and therefore closing down is much better.
