club statement;-

The Club can confirm that during Saturday’s game against Sutton United, an allegation of racial abuse was made regarding comments aimed by a spectator towards a visiting player.

We would like to place on record our gratitude to Cumbria Constabulary for their swift actions in the wake of the allegation, during which they were able to make an arrest.

The Club want to make it absolutely clear once again that we utterly condemn discrimination in all its forms and will seek the maximum penalty for anyone found guilty of such conduct.

We will continue to co-operate with all the relevant authorities where required.

Why do you think it will be replayed? Can’t see them doing that. I think a resumption of game behind closed doors more likely.
Firstly the game should be awarded to Salford otherwise every time your team is loosing you run onto the pitch.

The worrying thing for me is that Salford are in the play offs at 8 th position and the team immediately below them on I think the same points is Tranmere.
Who is Tranmeres owners? Mark Palaios the former Chief Exec of the FA who turned the finances round at the FA.
Maybe I am cynical but I still remember when in our last season we had no goal keeper not saying why and we asked the FA if we could sign one and were refused.
Please do not kick.me it's along time ago but I think Bobby Knox deputised at the same time Everton were allowed to sign a back up goalkeeper.

One more point it will be irrelevant but let's see if a quick decision is made by the EFL before the next game.

Well there you go. The club should be celebrating a magnificent win and instead having to put out statements like this. Absolutely sickened. The shine goes right off from a magnificent performance and a great win.

The risks and penalties to Barrow AFC and the damage to the reputation from incidents like this. Absolutely sickened.

Sadly, on the balance of probability, for every group of 3000 people there will be a few morons and racists. Of course the club must take responsibility but short of gagging everyone I don’t see how they can prevent it.

Brown has certainly got them a lot fitter as well. In his interview with Adam he said he was having discussions with the board 'on an almost daily basis'.

He said if he gets the job he will be looking for training facilities in or close to the town.

He seems to be very much one for getting the team involved with the local community.

Sickened? There’s a primary word in all this “allegation” it’s a huge day for the club, Oldham game due to be restarted, if it is true , why should one idiot ruin it all for an entire town? Answer is they shouldn’t and won’t. surely someone who was stood over in that corner can clearly all this up

Great great result on the field but ....
I'm afraid the racial abuse is becoming a bit of a problem. If we are not careful the fines won't be small and before too long we could be looking at points deductions etc. It's all well and good people coming out saying it didn't happen, they made it up, I never heard anything blah blah blah but this has now reared its head far too many times.
Back to the positives - safe for another season, well done Phil and the boys. :scarf:

phew!!! Survival is confirmed, lessons have to be learned during the close season but would give Phil Brown the opportunity to take us forward as we have tried the other options.
Well done everyone , players, supporters, staff and most of all our fan base🙌

Arise Sir Philip of Brown. Manager of Barrow in ELF2 next season. Well done to the board for binning Cooper and bringing in the Broony.
