So reading between the lines he’s probably asked for too much money and too long of a contract. I think he talked himself out of the job. Two wins from nine games doesn’t put you in the driving seat when it comes to negotiating a new contract. It’s not that long ago he was trying to get a job at non - league Oxford City. He was probably offered a twelve month contract and wanted a longer one. Mark Cooper was given a three year contract and we know how that ended.

I must say I'm surprised, not really because of the football and him keeping us up, more the recent RC comments about it being "with the lawyers". Someone must have been crucially unreasonable as far as the opposite party is/was concerned, and it's literally become a deal breaker. I'd be extremely surprised if there is any official comment from anyone as to why it fell through. Supposition and conjecture is just a waste of energy. As many have said, move on. Hopefully there is someone lined up with something about them to take us forward.
