Re: Who Do We Want ?
Going to throw a couple of names into the hat myself - what about Gary Waddock? Or, if we would want to go a bit more leftfield, Emma Hayes would be a great appointment, IMO.

People crying about a non league manager, imagine the meltdown if a woman got the job!Dwayne Beresford wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 10:25 am Going to throw a couple of names into the hat myself - what about Gary Waddock? I'll throw a better name in Dave Bayliss
Re: Who Do We Want ?
In what way would it be a "great appointment"? What's her experience of L2 football?

Luke Garrard was approached and turned it down.

Agreed. I'd be very happy with Wild, Ardley or Garrard although I'll be pleasantly surprised if we see any of them at Holker Street. All managers with decent records and knwoledge of the good players at National League level which is a better place to recruit from for clubs with limited financial resources.Suffolk Blue wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 9:40 am Lest we forget, the same could have been said about Ian Evatt. No managerial experience at this level. Won the NL by default etc etc. He seems to be hacking it quite well in the EFL I’d say. I’m sure there were quite a few Bolton fans who were saying the same thing at the time.
Find it strange that some think that being a successful manager in the NL somehow does not qualify as such in the EFL. IMO there are at least half a dozen sides this season in the NL that would have probably beaten us home or away.

Re: Who Do We Want ?
Should be a banning offence to mention this kid's name. There is absolutely 0% chance he would EVER manage Barrow. Emma Hayes is a better shout

She’s a winner - won everything there has to be won in the women’s game. The standard of the WSL is not too dissimilar to League 2 in all honesty.
Come on, BoD, let’s be pioneering!

Re: Who Do We Want ?
Not fair too compare EFL with WSL. The difference in physicality would be overwhelming. Skill levels on the other hand much closer.
