Re: Pete Wild confirmed
Yeah happy with this, I never wanted Dunn /Cooper but still (at first ) backed them, this Lad seems totally an honest guy who will give it everything, I`m sure the player`s will respond , Let`s get behind him and the player`s and finally some stability !

Re: Pete Wild confirmed
Whilst nothing is ever guaranteed in life, this is probably as good and as wise an appointment that the board could have made. Really well done to them, it has been worth waiting for. With a serious organisational structure gradually being put into place to support him, this could really be a turning point. This young manager should be a very good fit at Holker Street and we are all hoping that after a few wayward darts, this one hits the bulls-eye.
Should boost season ticket sales too. There is nothing like an energised fanbase. Roll on the publishing of the fixture list.

Re: Pete Wild confirmed
I like this appointment, different from the god knows how many prior to this
good track record and Halifax fans love him by the sounds of it. Win win for us just need to see what we’re like in august now
Re: Pete Wild confirmed
A quick word of thanks to Phil Brown. Kept us up then talked himself out of the job. Win, win all round.
Re: Pete Wild confirmed
The way we approached this deal was professional no behind the backs dealing we asked halifax if we could speak to him and credit to them they obviousl didnt want to lose him but they never let emotion get in the way of ambition and we must thank them for that i like most others are looking forward to a season of hope so thank you everyone concerned with Barrow Afc you can hold your heads up
Re: Pete Wild confirmed
Good to get this sorted sooner rather than later. Let’s hope this appointment is more successful than recent other ones. Brown apart who at least completed the job he was signed to do.

Re: Pete Wild confirmed
Excellent first interview. He sounds as though he's switched on and has the right attitude. A refreshing change from the dull guarded stuff from Cooper, and the jingoistic clap trap from Brown. Naturally results will be key. His already established relationship with Iain Wood must help a lot. Can't wait to see who he brings in. Training in the Greater Manchester area. Season ticket already in the bag.
Re: Pete Wild confirmed
Wouldn't surprise anyone if he brought some of his Halifax staff with him. This page lists the current coaches, assistant etc.

'‘I was sold by the ambition of the owners and how they are local people who want to do well for their football club. Barrow is a similar town to where I’m from in Oldham, it’s built around working class people and that’s what I am, that’s what I want to be and that’s what I want to be a part of… something that has a higher purpose for the town and hopefully I can deliver that"Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Fri May 27, 2022 12:42 pm AJ doing his first interview with Pete Wild on Radio Cumbria

Welcome Pete Wild! As far as first impressions go, you've put a massive tick in that box!
