And experienced ex-players like Dunn have always worked out so well for us.
There's lots of different routes to becoming a coach nowadays. None guarantee success but the 'former-pro' is no longer the only way of doing things.

Re: Assistant manager appointed
Everyone has no experience in adult football to start with depends on how he takes to it and what kind of character he is…….
Who was Wilds assistant previously and what’s he doing now, just wondered why he didn’t come with Wild ?

Word is that he was nailed down so quickly to prevent players from leaving. Fat chance.
He’ll have to prove himself by rebuilding the team. Then you”ll see if he”s any good.

Re: Assistant manager appointed
Always feel a little sorry for a club that works hard and comes close to achieving success without actually delivering it. We have been there a few times. The players will always cash in whether it is with their disappearing manager or not.
Halifax built a pretty good squad and did it without the ability to break the bank. A bit like Morecambe as soon as these players became visible as being any good then they become targets. If the players themselves don’t initiate it their agents will.

Sadly that's the business side of football these days, and as with everything that has any value, price is driven by demand, and a scarcity of talent adds to that.
