I'm not sure - thats why i put improved offer/offer - he did get mentioned last week after some of his family followed our twitter - that suggests there has at least been interest from us at some stage.

Feel we’ve lost a good player, apart from Kay or Mayne Gotts, no others could take a man on like Hutton and he’s young/ will only improve. Hope we got a decent fee

Sad to see him go. However his preferred role as an attacking wing back is not something that most teams can work with easily.

Probably demonstrates that PW is a little more orthodox than some might think. But I’m not sure that Swindon are the type of team to embrace him either.

Swindon have been trying to strengthen their defensive options during the close season. I’m not too sure that signing Hutton will achieve that. Their problem last season was not scoring goals, but conceding them. Hutton really is not the answer to that.

Very disappointing that he has gone. He was very good going forward, and very rarely lost possession - passed it or crossed it. Obviously not particularly effective defensively though. I think there's a chance that the way PW is intending to play may have influenced his move.

Think he was very much of the plans and you don’t want to lose your better players who can be developed. He had pace and comfortable running with the ball so no surprise someone’s come in for him. He could put in a decent cross too. We've lost that with him going and deffo leaves us a gap and worse off down that side. Would not surprise me if we seek to bring someone in for a similar role next week

He’ll do well as wing back in a better side than us where his defensive liabilities aren’t shown up as much. I never thought he did as badly last season as some on here made out but I’m also not overly bothered that he’s gone tbh, personally I wouldn’t have had him in our starting 11 this year

Really liked Hutton and always thought he gave 100%.I thought he was a really good player and just hope we bring in someone just as good or better than him.Sometimes he could make a real difference in a game with some of the crosses he put in.I still wish him all the best with Swindon,but just hope he does,t play that well the next time we face them.

Like others thought he is much better going forward and provides useful crosses and is quick.Sorry he is going hope new manager has someone lined up to replace him at such short notice to start of season

We did have a trialist playing down the right hand side in the first half at Whitton wonder if he is being looked at again today

Personally think we will miss his attacking threat.
Although Stevens and Gotts back together would make a difference.
Cooper wouldn't play Stevens

Depends how he wants to set up but Stevens and Gotts do not provide the direct pace of Hutton. Hutton moving on leaves us short of attacking threat down that side, especially when you consider how many good deliveries per game he would put in. Going on his two per position, Wild will have to plug this gap.
