Don’t know if we can afford him or if he would want to come come back but one of the best CF we’ve had in a long time. I,m not obsessed with former players but good players who could improve the team. He,s not going to be a regular in Stockport,s team who will be pushing for promotion this coming season. I like Bennet but imho Quigley is better.
Quigley is a much better player than Bennett in every respect except in the air and it would be great if we got him back but I can't see it happening I'm afraid.
Both of them poor in the air actually.

I can't believe people are writing off our chances of scoring after a friendly played in 27 degree heat when we were down to 10 for 40 minutes...

I don’t really think it’s a case of that, it’s more our experiences in the two previous seasons. The lack of a decent striker has been the elephant in the boardroom since we have been in L2.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

Quigley was pretty decent in our first season back in EFL2 15 goals wasn't a bad return. We just never replaced him last season.

So we can’t sign any other players?

Your memory must be going. ??He told cooper start of last season he wanted to leave. Stockport came in for him.

Correct. In the first EFL season we had Quigley who scored more goals than any other striker we've had in EFL2 even though he missed a few games with injury.

Pete wild knows this also

He said to me after the South Shields game - interview is on this forum somewhere:

3 targets

A left winger
A centre forward
A left back

He told fans not to believe “lies’, when Cooper announced Stockport had offered Quigley a contract that Barrow could not compete with. He did very well for us, but when he arrived he had not done a lot previously, apart from a short, reasonably proliferate spell at Wrexham. Nothing at Port Vale or Halifax. Not one of Pedro’s “proven” strikers at that stage. His Morecambe move seems to have gone cold.
