There’s a few grounds around the country where I’ve seen it done well.

This is nothing short of a monstrosity.

Always thought Maidenhead’s looked decent. Ours looks absolutely shite. Also the tunnel isn’t great either, why haven’t we made it look intimidating?

Maybe I'm a bit old fashioned, but I don't like murals, be they good, bad or indifferent in or around football grounds at all. They just look naff to me.

Don’t Think the club will have expected quite this sort of reaction on this one. Interesting too see if they crack on with it.

Look I started the tunnel debate as I don't personally like it, as one person only, stating an opinion.
Someone has obviously worked hard creating it and I am no way decrying the artistry, just the totally wrong place for it to be. It does look beautifully painted but the size is way over the top for the confines of the tunnel as it is created on both sides.
The simple understated Barrow etc signs that were up were much more classy.
The club are trying different things and all power to them--- and we will carry on debating what we think of them.
I want players to be concentrating on the game ahead and not gazing at works of art on walls.
Not up to us of course.

A bit like a scene from Alfred Hitchcocks
" The Birds". Scare any opponent that!

There's almost a sardonic element to the "bluebirds" as they appear to be dominating the chimneys and slag banks.
Only my opinion, but they are seriously crap.
I like anything that is trying to improve the club; sadly this attempt has failed.

What would you suggest that could possibly be intimidating? It's a bit of paint on a wall.

It's all a bit over the top, I'm sure if any of the players are a bit scared of the birdies they can hold each others hands on the way down the tunnel

1. It's two different people
2. Neither is finished and that AFAIK contains traditional aspects and players that folk will like.

Steve- whilst its not fair to knock anyone’s hard work going into this and the fact its unfinished, its the idea for it (on the Crossbar wall especially), that doesn't appear to have gone down well. Perhaps if the club did a feature on it fans could see a reveal of what the end result will look like it may help win the naysayers over?...then again maybe not. The club have to recognise this will not be to everyone’s liking.
.
Things like this should be an opportunity to have some fan input and get a feel for what the fans could suggest to go on that wall. Thats what the Trust is for right? Gaining the voice of the fans and taking it forward? Things like this would gain more support if they had fan input., given a choice. Maybe it has? .

Should have just copied that Barrow skyline/for every inch of this great town etc quote flag we had a few years ago if they wanted to paint that back wall

it possibly would have been a popular choice. We've had some great flags and banners down the years, fan driven and created by fans. But things like that need constant drive of enthusiasm to keep going, times change and those flag display days are long gone.
