Police
Made to feel like a criminal waking to ground today amount of them
. Few stewards where have they all gone, heard rumours on strike due to lack of pay. (dunno if that's true)
Had a run in with a women in an orange hat (don't know what that colour police hat means) she was amongst a load of police harrasing young lads.
Seemed a bit of a power crazy young lady the way she answered my question.
What's with this over policing? Are they barrow police. Should be out fighting crime

In the EFL now. Comes with 'big' games.
Seemed to be well-handled in Holker Street.

Re: Police
Not over policing at all, if you get a 4,000 crowd this is what is required to stop the types of incidents seen at Stockport last week. You know we have our fair number of Neanderthals or young lads in your terminology who gather at the away barrier in the ground or hover around the bridge after the game looking for trouble.boyliegladbach wrote: ↑Sat Aug 06, 2022 9:41 pm Made to feel like a criminal waking to ground today amount of them

The police were excellent and thankfully stopped any bother.

Re: Police
Agree entirely. The extra police plus cctv cameras are there to ensure no trouble occurs. With a capacity away following in a 4000 crowd it was very welcome IMO. Good job done by all.MikeRenney wrote: ↑Sat Aug 06, 2022 10:50 pm

Re: Police
Well done Cumbria Police. A good presence that deterred any wannabe trouble makers and keeps people safe, exactly what the police should be there for.
I’ve always found that minding your own business and letting them do their job, usually prevents run-ins with the police.

Re: Police
Let's hope your families arnt being burgled while hlaf of Cumbria police are wasted at a football match
Re: Police
The police were brought in from Carlisle with the club having to pay for extra police due to the low numbers of stewards and the firm we were using being unavailable
Regarding the stewards they haven't been paid for the 2 friendlies so a few have decided to not come back

It was not a waste as they prevented idiots harming innocent fans in fact it was highly commendable. Just a pity you can’t grasp this and have to reply with inanities against a force doing their job.
In fact I have just seen a tweet where a man and his wife have travelled from Bradford to pick up their fifteen year old son who had to have five stitches after an assault by a Barrow “fan”. The police are there for a reason and part of it is the prevention of stupidity like this.

Not sure if this attack was at the ground.I went to the chippy by the market and a girl from Holiday Inn said about 10 tough young locals attacked a Bradford supporter about 15 yrs oldMikeRenney wrote: ↑Sun Aug 07, 2022 12:32 amPathetic.boyliegladbach wrote: ↑Sat Aug 06, 2022 11:35 pm Let's hope your families arnt being burgled while hlaf of Cumbria police are wasted at a football match

We need to get these kids that cause trouble out of Holker Street.
Giving the club a bad name. It's embarrassing week after week.
Stewards were having payment problem last season.
Rather stupid, One for Alisha to sort along with all the other outstanding payments to suppliers we have

Re: Police
What happened to the Bradford fans who came on the pitch and chucked a smoke bomb on?
