Really surprised that our game is one of the very last on ITV's highlights show. 5 goal thriller - would have expected to be in the first couple. Seems to be a bit of a shambles now though with tech issues

Neal and Foley are a brilliant midfield pairing. Gotts complimented them well today and Rooney brought a bit of stability when he came on. With white and Solomon (who we haven't seen yet admittedly) we seem to be as strong as I've ever seen us in CM

One of the best 45's I've ever seen at Holker Street. That 2nd half had it all.

Great stuff and word will start getting around town. Can we get another 4k + for our next home game for a Tuesday night? That would be special. I think if we get a result vs Sutton on Saturday we should be hopeful of doing so.

Just an afterthought from the above post. Obviously Bradford made up 600+ of that 4k today and maybe Walsall will bring a couple of hundred for a Tuesday game (just a guess) so hopefully we can still get 3.5 - 3.7k + next Tue.

Walsall took over 800 to Newport today. They, like us, have a 100% record at present and they normally have a good few travelling fans. I would expect at least 350+ for our game with them.

What we need to do is when a big team with a big following come to town is extend the away end, surely all we have to is move the fence further along? Got to maximise our earnings Bradford could have sold there away allocation 3 times over.

The pitch looked even better in 'real life' even than the photo put up here; what a pleasure it must be to play on.
I was concerned when Ray went off injured (I thought Wild said his ankle was broken) that Bradford might take advantage but McClelland slotted in seamlessly. He looked calm and assured. In fact, for the first hour defensively we looked solid and really gave the promotion favourites barely a sniff. The high press that Wild talks about was there for all to see as Bradford resorted to passing the ball around their back line and back to the 'keeper regularly.
Then the first goal went in and the last 30 minutes was manic. For each of their equalisers they exploited our right where I thought Warren did get caught out of position on a number of occasions. When the winner went in I noticed Brough and one other go to Warren either to praise his involvement or to say "don't worry about it, we've got the win."
Hugely impressed with Harrison Neal and Sam Foley but every one of them did the business today. I also thought corners looked far more dangerous - driven into the box at shoulder/head height rather than looped up, dropping out of the sky. Long may it continue. If we'd come away with a couple of points from these 2 openers it would have been encouraging; 6 is dreamland.

That game had it all….

I thought the ref did ok, until around the time he bottled sending their player off - which was a shocking arse falling out moment by him. After that he absolutely lost the plot and gave everything to Bradford.
Gordon is a changed player, obviously Pete Wild saw something most didn’t
Really impressed with Foley and Whitfield.

When them fixtures came out I’d have been over the moon with two points….six (and six goals) is unbelievable.
The Cooper season now just feels like a bad dream.

Would hope a fair few of the 11 from today are on Blackpool beach on Tuesday night rather than the pitch. We play Saturday Tuesday after it. Tuesday being in form Walsall

Just seen Gordon’s winner. The irony is that their dreadlocked defender who should have been sent off is the one who played Gordon onside. A game to forget for him

Thought it was quite a dull first half although good from a Barrow point of view in terms of matching what big, bad Bradford could offer. Exploded into life after the first goal and what a finish to the game, best atmosphere in the ground I've experienced. I was confused over the amount of injury time but then remembered it was quite a while before the game restarted after the pyro antics from Bradford. So a nice touch of schadenfreude there.

Learnt a valuable lesson to check pub opening times, jumped off the train at Kirkby at 12:30 to discover both pubs didn't open till 2pm. At least the weather was nice waiting an hour for the next one

When you look at the gates from the other L2 games yesterday, makes me finally feel like we belong in this league.

Always saw us as punching above our weight, riding a temporary crest. That is because non-league has become so ingrained in us, having spent so long out of the EFL but yesterday we had a higher attendance than Colchester, Crew, Stevenage and Crawley (and only a couple of hundred below Gillingham) I know some of the above mentioned teams aren't the biggest teams in the league, but they are definitely quite well established league teams.

This is our 3rd season in now and there is a real feel good factor which itself draws the masses. If we keep playing the way we are and getting the results, I'm sure we can finally feel established in this league.
