I said when Pete Wild was appointed I had a good feeling about this season.Hopefully I will be proved right and all the naysayers will be silenced. We are no longer Little Old Barrow.
Well done Pete and all the players and not forgetting the board for such a radical move in appointing a manager from a lower league and backing him all the way. Here,s hoping the dream carries on.
Fantastic result. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

People will say it was Blackpool Reserves, People will say we rode our luck with some of their misses in the second half. The 1000 Barrow fans there will not give two fcuks about that; that was one of those I was there moments that we can cherish for the rest of our lives. Tremendous work rate on the pitch matched by the tremendous noise in the away end. Just think that could have been Phil Brown in charge tonight, masterstroke by all those who stopped that and got Wild instead, what a bloody man he is!
Prem club at home or Morecambe away in the next round please

I don't think anyone is saying it was Blackpool Reserves, it could have been a weaker team than it was.

Fair play to Pete Wild for going with a strong line up, I think momentum is more important than rotation at this stage.

Not sure what to make of the decision for the retake. Really? Anyway it matters not, the fans were able to celebrate twice in the end! UTFB!

Blackpool fans happy with the starting line-up many on there forum calling it a strong side, but if you go on it now it`s like every forum moaning about the side and some wanting the manager sacking after losing a game of football. Great result from the lads and what a brilliant away following. Farman hard done by the linesman great save was on line when ball was kicked.

One of the great nights. Defensively outstanding. A tremendous spirit in the team/squad and magnificent support. My ears are still ringing near midnight.

I live down here and have a lot of friends that follow the pool. There absence is to be noted. Nobody expected a win tonight and on the whole they’re very unhappy at the loss of critchley the re-appointment of Appleton and the lack of recruitment. That said we were the better side tonight. I’ve been saying for a few weeks catching Stockport, Bradford and Blackpool early in the season might just play in our favour not for one second did I expect to be sat here 3 from 3 and watching easily the best barrow side ever. I’m in complete shock and how good is it to be able
To just concentrate on the result too. Let’s back Pete. Let’s back these lads and going forward let’s back each other absolutely phenomenal tonight I’m so [SwearFilter] proud.

Well what an effort. Management, team and fans I applaud you all.

First half was a very even contest, second half they certainly raised their game. From the end I was watching they certainly came close but some great defending and Paul Farnham pulling off some great saved we survived until full time.

Penalties they either go for you or they don’t. Paul Farnham was again he difference. His second save I can only guess he was off his line before the penalty was taken, the rest-taken pen was scored that added to the pressure.

The then missed pen by Foley?? Led us to Blackpool blazing the ball over the bar……the ref waited a while before he gave us the result!

Tense and nervy at times but well done the penalty takers and goalkeeper.

Pete Wild walks on water 🎉🎉

Now Google can sometimes be wrong, but it seems from a quick search on the way home that tonight’s linesman is the son of the current Carlisle United manager and ex Blackpool player Paul Simpson!

Paul FARMAN. F-a-r-m-a-n. He's been playing and doing more than enough for us to get his name right.
Popular side since '03.

What a night. The lads that came in today were quality Tom White was everywhere lost count the amount of times he won the ball, covered every blade of grass. Josh Kay produced a superb display our most dangerous attacker by a distance. Wild has made the lads who are just out of the team on a Saturday desperate to show what they can do that was evident this evening.

Oh. My. God.
This is outrageous.
Unbelievable, that on one of the best nights in your history, and all you can think about is Carlisle United.
Good luck in the next round to all you genuine Barrow fans who live in the real world.
