Early days yet but very impressed so far. Its not surprising that he has been a manager in demand. It was probably touted for most vacancies during his time at halifax and showed tremendous loyalty to them. He will manage in league 1 and I think it will be us.

Great interview, and comes across as a genuinely likeable fellow. His philosophy reminds me in so many ways of Ray Wilkie's. I'm trying to heed the advice he is giving to the players, in not getting carried away at this very early stage, but there's a very different feel around the place at the moment. Is the roller coaster beginning an upward trajectory...?

May be wrong but doesn't appear to be driven by money which would rule out who I think could be his biggest suitors. The hiearchy at Salford (on our training doorstep) are well known fot their trigger fingers when managers fail to win two games on the trot. i suspect they would already expect to have been promoted or at least in the play-offs and some of those fingers must be getting itchy.
