First Time In Holker St In Over A Decade

Post by Reg » Sat Aug 20, 2022 10:43 pm

I brought my nephew to his first ever football match today and he loved it.

Holker Street is looking well. The pitch looked immaculate and you look like you have a decent side.

I might cherry pick a few more matches over the season.

Was nice to see a decent crowd in too.

The team looked well organised and solid. I'm not sure Harrogate were too much of a stern test as they didn't offer very much at all but I think you lads and lasses might have a fun season ahead.

Good stuff Reg, it's great times to be a Barrow fan, and hard earned too!

I have barely followed anything other than results for a long time now.

I was pleasantly surprised by everything I saw today.

I'd like a closer look at the sprinklers to see how the hole is filled in when they disappear underground again.

Good to hear from you Reg. I've missed your comments over the past few seasons particularly the ones in the dark days in the Conference North! Hope you are well. I too bring my kids (they are are in their thirties mind you) and last March my eldest grandkid to a game. He thoroughly enjoyed his experience at Holker St as well.

I thought they hired moles to push them up and down. But maybe it’s me being kept in the dark. And Hellooo Reg, glad you embraced the so So Legal Stadium experience.

Welcome back, Reg, after a long absence. From what you've written at the top all you have to do now is swap the word "you" for "we". After all, as the bloke once said "we're all Barrow, ain't we?"

All we need now is Phil Mac and a former member of this forum to come back home, get the sparring going again.

Watch racing. Maybe find a dubious stream to watch a Premier League game. Nap.

I'm not passionate enough about sport any more to use we.

I am a much better person for it too :)

Phil Mac too busy spending his spare time telling everyone how much he still hates the Tories. Only joking Mac - we miss you - hope the photography business still going well.
