Fair point, general football (under the “Other stuff” banner) is hidden for people who aren’t signed in, as you say some people just like to skim and don’t have accounts.

Just the point I was going to make - I don’t always sign in so it doesn’t occur to me to go to General Football. I can see that we don’t want all the random stuff we see on other forums clogging up our main discussions, but I am sure most people would be interested in hearing that Scott Quigley has gone to Rochdale. After all, he is now likely to be playing against us again next month. Closing down reasonable news/discussion with the shout of “General Football” has always irritated me a bit tbh….

Fair enough, but aeons of debate on the relative merits of Quigs and his career give me pretty much the same feeling.

Or have an 'ex Barrow players' thread or summat.

Anyway, each to their own. I'm just delighted we were sat calmly with business done, rather than desperately casting around.

Except the ones that have made the comments are obviously registered, bloomin lazy if you ask me. You wouldn’t read a book by reading the front page then the last for the ending.
The forum is set up with Headers “Barrow AFC” related
“General football” (which this now obviously belongs in) and “Off Topic” for general chit chat. There is also a website comments and travel section it keeps things simple easy to follow and structured with explanations to why each section is there for the uninitiated. Let’s carry on keeping it that way as I’m sure it makes it far easier for our busy admin team😇

There is an ex players thread already under general football called the old boy network

Two goals and an assist. Can’t head the ball though.
