maybe he's trialing with another club at present - or maybe he's not in the final EFL squad - so it would be pointless for him to be there?

Re: Mark Ellis
Doesn't appear to be a part of the squad. He was here in July when this was released but hasn't been allocated a squad number:

Don't let the old man in.
Re: Mark Ellis
If he's not part of the plans it would be better to send him on loan somewhere even if we had to pay part of his wages.

Re: Mark Ellis
We can`t force any player to go out on loan(Mike Jones last Season) player on Contract and happy to sit on his arse and get paid, will be the same this season if Rooney & White can`t get a game both here till summer 2024, just the risk of putting players(and Managers)on long Contracts.

Re: Mark Ellis
He was one of Coopers “big” signings. Notts county wanted him at the time but said what we offered Ellis was way more than they could afford. He struggled to get in Solihull’s starting line up towards the end of last season. I doubt any top end National league club want him and others probably cannot afford him even if we pay part of his wages. At his age he is highly unlikely to command the salary we are currently paying him at any club this season. Unless the club and the player can come to an agreement I doubt he is going anywhere soon

Clearly he's not clued up on the barrowafc.net transfer strategies for player recruitment.Lancaster Branch wrote: ↑Thu Sep 15, 2022 11:54 amYou need to be emailing Iain Wood, he’s probably not thought of that.

-> Don't want them? Just get rid. Simple as that.
-> Must be over 6'
-> Strikers must have at least a 1 in 2 goal ratio to be considered a good signing
-> All former players welcome regardless of age and recent performance

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
