Listening to that interview for a second time doesn’t make it seem any less….what, bizarre, odd? “Outside noise” who would have that sort of influence over a manager?
Also the comments about the fans, PW was obviously very frustrated and annoyed but he has to realise that supporters were also left frustrated and annoyed. Many of those there on Saturday will have been at Tranmere a couple of weeks ago and probably most of our home games this season - with all of the costs that come with that.
I’m sure he’ll turn this form around - hopefully starting with two wins this week.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Yes, a bit worrying the "outside noise"
Whoever it is just let PW get on with the job in hand.
The tried and trusted method worked so why have we changed?
I don't think it's a case of teams have sussed us out.
It's more of, we have stopped doing all the things that were working.
Play best team v Carlisle. Let's get through this group

In this league often getting the first goal in a game is crucial. something we obviously having been doing of late. When we don't and thinking particularly of the Orient & Mansfield games we are unable to break down well organised cynical teams.

One thing I've noticed since we went up is that L2 defences are far more solid than Conference defences. We need to find a way when we fall behind. Its' not the only issue but an important one.

Not sure but he mentioned it twice and wasn't asked what he meant by it, so we are all wondering.

Let’s give him enough time to see what works, what works occasionally & what doesn’t, It won’t happen over night as it takes time, We are on a terrible run atm & we are hurting as fans, Half of us got far too carried away by winning 7 out of 9 was it & now again over reacting with this slump.

PW pedigree in the game is good & he is highly regarded, Give the fella time to mould his troops & let’s see where we end up.
Didn't Mark cooper have us up in the top few last season then we started to drop. It's not a manager thing..its a Barrow players thing..

Well we were 4th at half time at Port Vale this time last year when we were 1-0 up. But eventually lost 3-1 and slipped to 13th place later that day! Highest position in the league last season was 9th on Oct 2nd after beating Mansfield away 1-0. That was actually our last league win until mid December when we beat Swindon.

Autumn might be a Barrow players thing. Hope not.

Does anyone else get a bit nauseated by our away support these days?

Every game its the same old “[insert team name] get battered everywhere we go” or “your support is f*cking sh*t” on repeat.

How about getting behind the players and singing some of their songs? Not so long ago we had an excellent catalogue of songs which were more enjoyable being sung by 50 of us on a Tuesday night in Alfreton.

I guess it comes with the territory of being in the Football League. C’mon folks, we’re better than this.

The performance against Doncaster seems like a million years ago now. The way we played that night we’d have beaten anyone in this league. Not sure what’s changed since then but all the personnel is the same, surely they can get back to that and put the last few games behind them.

If that`s true then it could become interesting because a Sporting Director identifies players we need/ fit into the squad so they`re going to some good conversations coming up!,is that ok Des ? :D

We looked a team lacking in confidence. Noticed the players becoming frustrated and having ago at each other for individual mistakes - never a good sign.

Throughout the game there were stray passers being made and being pounced upon by Rochdale. They looked more hungry than us too - our players seemed to be lacking in desire to win tackles throughout the game.

Our strike force is weak. Waters and Mayo in particular. Whitfield didn't seem his usual self. However, some of his crosses into the box could have led to a couple of goals if our strikers had taken those opportunities.

Someone on here suggests other teams have 'sussed us out'. I agree. Peter Wild deploys tactics similar to his managerial spell at Halifax. The most successful teams have a number of different strategies and deploy these according to the opposition. The question is: Can he/we change our style of play? Let's hope so.

Possibly what he meant in his interview when he said he would revert to playing the 'Pete Wild' way.
