Trust travel policy
Trust travel policy
Can someone (trust) please explain why U16's which are currently serving a Club ban are allowed to travel on the official Coaches to away games?
How do we allow this to happen?

Re: Trust travel policy
They’re not official, the trust is separate from the club as you well know. Stop trying to cause issues for the hardworking volunteers.
Re: Trust travel policy
Trust are part owners in the club.
Reckon that's pretty official
Bury your head Barrow lad.

Re: Trust travel policy
The trust don't have access to the information.
Some of it is due to ongoing criminal proceedings that might protect a minors identity.
Some of it is due to GDPR laws that prevent the club (or any organisation) from sharing personal information.
Doesn't matter that the trust are part owners. Companies can't share customers/former customers information with their shareholders.

What an individual you are, the trust do a fantastic job organising travel and many other fundraising events, and you have to come on an open forum, and ask a question like this. Contact the trust direct, and ask them. I’d ban people like you personally, shit stirring, attempting to undermine the great work they do.

Thanks for that explanation Jammy.JammyBluebird wrote: ↑Wed Oct 19, 2022 9:05 amThe trust don't have access to the information.

What can we do to prevent this from happening and giving the Trust/Club a bad name.

Re: Trust travel policy
It isn’t the Trusts fault. Banning individuals who are minors from travelling to away games could be challenged legally. I’m not sure a minor can be subject to a banning order and the type of bans that we are referring to are club bans from home games. They have limited scope
The Trust could refuse to take under 16s to away fixtures or make it subject to travelling with a responsible adult - if they don’t already. But that would be harsh and detrimental to the club.

Re: Trust travel policy
Maybe the trust didn’t know. You obviously have access to a list of names of people banned by the club and a list of people who travel on the trust buses
Re: Trust travel policy
I hope your banned from the Trust bus after slating all the hard work the lads from the Trust do.

There isn't even any evidence that the person who did this actually travels with the Trust (not that it's relevant).

Re: Trust travel policy
It’s cost essentially.
If this were a premiership club it’s very likely that to travel away you’d have to be a card carrying member of the Trust. You’d be on a system. That same system would also control access to the ground and would also extend to ticketing. This kind of system is used at West Ham. It involves very few people to control it and it does work. It’s a major reason why incidents such as the one last night are so rare. The system simply excludes you if computer says no.
As you might expect access control and security management systems like that come at an eye watering cost. By comparison we are at the bottom of the barrel and have to use more basic forms of communication that are fallible.

Re: Trust travel policy
It's as Jamie has explained.
To be honest in terms of behaviour on or at the buses, any difficulty hasn't been teenagers.
For example, a large group of adults, should they book again from Saturday will be on a final warning.
We speak to the Police Liaison Officer every away game. We are bound by law to say where we go and we do.
I can't and won't speak for other buses.

Re: Trust travel policy
I've always had a great experience travelling on the buses. Maybe being on bus one with a youngster helps. Such a great service provided by the Trust.
