Looks like a section of the Holker Street end will not be accessible in the near future.

Following last night’s incidents and speaking to the relevant authorities, the Club has decided to implement the following measures:

The age in which you can buy an unaccompanied ticket to enter the SO Legal Stadium has been raised to 15 and over.

We understand there are numerous supporters who have already bought Season Tickets, and we will be reaching out to those to provide a solution, but no singular ticket can be bought alone under the age of 15.

The Club will be adopting a stringent check upon entering the ground and any groups unaccompanied will be subsequently challenged.

If you are entering the SO Legal Stadium with your child or children, please make sure they always remain under your supervision.

When entering the SO Legal Stadium, face coverings must not be worn at turnstiles unless for a valid reason. We still have Covid safe turnstiles, so your safety will not be jeopardised.

If you do not comply, we have the right to refuse entry.

In the interim, a section of Holker Street will be closed until further notice.

Just imagine the fall out & consequences if the keeper got closer & he’s apparently said he was going to walk over & throw it off the pitch thinking it was a flare, He could have lost an eye or finger & his career gone in a split second or it could have seriously hurt someone in the crowd if he threw it wrong etc & it would have been all over the Socials worldwide if blow up in the keepers hand or in his face, very Serious incident that & no place for it anywhere & the club could be in serious bother & if anything similar happens again the FA will make an example of us for sure, Glad he’s arrested & banned for life as it shows the club acted swiftly & hope it sends the right message to these urchins that it won’t be tolerated.

Club have been desperate to implement this ever since it got binned off earlier in the season. What idiots make these decision. I suppose its a consequence of giving people jobs within the club on the cheap who habe no clue how to running a club. Alienate future supporters on the back of the actions of 1 person. Really clever move

At a guess, I wonder if they are trying to avoid that group gathering by the segregation fence, which TBH only serves as an area where they all meet to goad away supporters anyway.

I suppose something had to be done as there’s been flares thrown coins slung over the Perspex barrier and now the firework incident.

I make no apology for this, but the club should just see what little bit of evidence they have against this group and ban the lot of them, some already have been but extend it. These [SwearFilter] aren’t the future generation of supporters, but are hell bent on anti social behaviour.

It’s not the first time a flare / firework has been thrown this season, the club and the Police know who they are, just ban them

Listening to Radio Cumbria and police have released whoever they suspected from last night, no mention of any charges as yet. Shame if it is a youngster as they might find out stupid actions can have consequences.
